"A terrible experience. Didn't eat in the restaurant after I saw the condition of motel rooms and the service I experienced. Room nightly rate was $106 With is about $60 overpriced. The room was absolutely bare bones. Including only a bed, microwave and fridge. Things that were missing that should be standard in any hotel in WORLD include the following, NO alarm clock, TV, hairdryer. To aggravate things further the incompetent young lady was unable to process my credit card or even write me a receipt. Her attitude was a bit unpleasant and not very helpful. Sad because this property has the motel market covered since its the only place to stay within 75 miles or so. The owner should reevaluate his business plan and try to make this property more appealing and comfortable. Until then I highly recommend that anyone passing through this area to skip this motel. You'd be more comfortable in the bed of your truck. Zero stars. Best thing about being on the bottom is that only way to go is up. With some thought and the right attitude this place could shine. I guess time will tell."

"In the middle of no where (literally) I came across this "gem" (pun intended)of a place! The cafe was not only an amazing eatery...it was filled with a rockhounds candy store so to speak. I seen a Black Opal pendant piece made into a necklace that I had to have. The owner made it the night before so I know it was waiting for me!!! He shared his passion about his digs and finds...I was in aww! I chatted up everyone there, the dishwasher ( her bright smile made you smile) the cook and waitress all were so down to earth. It was like talking to family and everyone walking through that door felt genuinely welcome as I did. Thank you for that experience and I brag to everyone who I know is traveling to make a stop at Denio Junction as they too will remember the experience! thanks for filling my tank and making my stop memorable!"

"Best service and people for when we really needed it on our travels. Clean rooms, and the hospitality is unmatched. Even willing to feed our family right at closing time at the restaurant. And the best food we had our entire trip"

"Great food - still dreaming about the burgers and breakfast burritos! Lovely and knowledgeful owners, visited the area in May 2023. Despite only planning to drive through we stayed in the area for 2-3 days to mine opals and visited nearby hot springs, and it was one of the highlights of our 3 month USA trip. Thank you for such a memorable visit!"
