"We have been taking our daughter to Gymboree here in Reno from the moment she could crawl. First things first - she absolutely loves it and is excited to go there every time. From a parents perspective, the owner Ms Sherri is fantastic. Her ability with names is something I'd love to possess - she gets to know each and every kid that comes through her door. What we really appreciate is the work that is done to keep the place germ and bug free. The cleanliness is great, which means our daughter can have a great time and not get sick from it. Don't hesitate to give Gymboree a go."
"This is long but worth the read to get a total feel for the gym! If you are looking for a fun, CLEAN, happy and uplifting place for your kids, You’ve 1000% found it. Don’t let the false reviews deter you, check it out for yourself. I have been bringing my kids here since 2018.. my son started at 2.5 years old in the play classes then eventually graduated from the preschool program. My daughter has basically grown up at Gymboree. she also started in play classes and is currently in the preschool program! Ms Sherri and Mrs Tara are the kindest people you will ever meet! Who better to have around your kids!? Ms Sherri is the face of the place. You will always be welcomed with a sincere and warm welcome. It’s not a place your will get a cold shoulder or attitude. The play classes with Ms Sherii are so much fun for the kids. She encourages and cheers on every single kid in such a happy way it’s hard for them to not enjoy every aspect of the class. The open gyms are just as fun! AND CLEAN! Then if you continue with the preschool.. which you should! you’ll meet Mrs Tara. The absolute best preschool teacher. So kind and so good with the kids. She knows just how to help with the anything your child may need and does it in the most gentle way possible. The gym itself gets cleaned after every use. EVERY USE. With sanitizer strong enough to kill anything you’re afraid of. The smell is not overwhelming. It’s a clean and fresh smell. Very mild if at all. I do not like strong scents and I don’t even notice. You use hand sanitizer before going in the gym and Ms Sherii is so great at catching snot or spit and cleaning it up right away so no one else touches it. Kids can wear socks or no socks but adults need to have socks. She even provides bathroom sandals so you can easily use the restroom. Make sure you use the sandals so you don’t track bathroom germs into the gym! Gross. The gym gets reset every month which is really exciting for the kids when that happens. Offers the best makeup policy I’ve seen. She’s so flexible and willing to work with you. I’m not sure what the 3 cough rule is that was stated in another review because I’ve never seen that. If you’ve been asked to come back another day you must have really been sick and trying to hide it. I appreciate the no illness policy. My kids have never gotten sick from there. We are going to be sad once my daughter graduates preschool. Thankfully we have awhile. You will not regret coming here. There’s lots of places for kids in Reno but nothing compares to Gymboree!"
"Mrs. Sherii is extremely friendly and kind. She is easy to coordinate with and is always accommodating with scheduling. You can tell she truly cares about the kids. The place is VERY clean. While it may sound backwards the number one reason I stopped going was because I wasn’t a fan of the amount of strong cleaners that the entire gym is cleaned in extremely frequently and what I felt like was over-the-top germ protocols. I started getting headaches when I was there but then my oldest aged out and so I took a year off and went back today for my 15 month old but I got a headache again. I understand the need to keep germs to ourselves but sometimes kids will put their hands in their mouth or accidentally drool etc and I don’t think we need to be over the top about it especially when a kid is obviously not sick. I am not a fan of masking my small kids ever and also don’t love the “3 cough” rule because my daughter, like many others gets asthmatic coughing flares when she is excited or using a lot of energy. But mainly, with my family history of cancer I am cautious especially with things such as bleach. I think if someone is very concerned with Covid (although we know it doesn’t spread by fomites) or germs in general this facility will make you feel safe. Mrs Sherii is always smiling, enthusiastic and her lessons are truly language enriching and great for facilitating motor development."
"I have been taking my daughter to the Reno Gymboree since she could sit up and she's almost a year old now. It's absolutely fabulous and I have nothing but good things to say. The classes are varied and perfectly age-appropriate. The instructor who does all of the classes except the music class is amazing, I don't know where she gets her energy! She clearly loves what she does and it translates into the children having a wonderful time and learning as they go. I look forward to the preschool type activities when my daughter gets older as these seem great also. The plans and payment schedules are flexible so you can come as often or as little as you like, it works for everyone. I also appreciate their attention to hygiene and cleanliness, as any mother knows, groups of small children can breed all sorts of interesting infections! We love our local Gymboree and will continue to go for years to come."
"We absolutely love Reno's Gymboree Play and Learn classes. Our son grew up with Gymboree, and now our daughter gets to be part of the fun. The owner and teacher is such an energetic and caring teacher filled with passion for working and playing with children and their families. The classes are well organized and are packed full of fun learning opportunities. The place is kept clean and is very inviting. I recommend that everyone with little kiddos at least come try out a free class."
