Gao's Noodle House

"My friend and I ordered takeout here last week. We had the salt and pepper fish (5 stars, the best in this area), scallion pancakes (3 stars - not enough scallions), flame broiled pork chop (5 stars - delicious!), and the shrimp and pork vermicelli (3 stars - only two shrimp). Wish they were open for dine-in though. Our favorite was the salt and pepper fish, with grilled onions and jalapenos, just the right amount of spiciness. I'm sure all the salt and pepper dishes (shrimp, pork, tofu) would be as awesome as the fish, and we plan on returning for those items! Only improvement suggested: give more shrimp in the pork and shrimp vermicelli!"

"I absolutely love pho, I've been to a lot of restaurants that serve pho in the reno/sparks area. This has got to he one of the best pho I've had. Broth was super flavorful and the give generous portions, I had plenty noodles, some places I end up ordering extra noodles."

"I’ve ordered (through Doordash) from them before and I was happy with their dishes. I was in the area again so I thought of this restaurant. Their Chicken curry is really good. Good serving size for the price. So I got that for the second time- same with their Flame Broil Beef and Pork. This time I went and try their Beef Pancake- surprisingly yummy. I recommend you try it. Not a fan of their dumplings though."

"Food was very mediocre. We tried the Chinese food side. The walnut shrimp was soggy and way over sauced. The fried rice had no flavor and was just not good. The beef and broccoli was solid, I will say that. The chicken and shrimp vermicelli noodle was not good at all. The chicken had this rubbery texture and no good flavor. Spent 60 something dollars and was very unimpressed. I will not be back."

"Hard to nail two different cuisines, but Gao's Noodle House did just that! The owner is Chinese but she's got the approval from a native Vietnamese on their Viet side of the menu! Also tried their Chinese dishes, which were full of mouth-watering aromas and flavors. I expected no less from a business run by conscientious people."
