"I have been having breakfast at the Truckee’s Wagon Train Restaurant off and on for the last twenty years and some things, especially good things, never change. The breakfasts are always simple and tasty and nothing fancy, but..... for me, the country gravy and the biscuits are a wow!! and reminds me of my best friend's mom’s country gravy many years ago. Nothing too fancy since breakfast should be simple and tasty! The service is great and the atmosphere bright and cheerful. Hopefully, here is to another 20 years!"

"Excellent breakfast shop and cafe located in Truckee with a variety of delicious omelets, wraps, and skillets for breakfast. Unlike places nearby, there is not an hour wait to be seated here which is great. The food was excellent and their service was nice despite being very busy! The food here for breakfast varied from specialty plates, French toast, kids plates, breakfast burritos, custom omelettes, custom egg and sausage plates, and plenty of coffee. There is definitely something for everyone here. The food quality was excellent. Parking and service were great too. We had no trouble getting a spot and were seated instantly during a busy day. They were very friendly but we did wait a bit to be served due to staffing issues. Otherwise, such a great spot. The location is decorated the American decor and has a lot of personality. I highly recommend this place over other over-hyped locations in the area. Highly worth it for a quality breakfast!"

"Despite the lack of staffing, the staff available were quick, kind, and full of personality. The atmosphere was cozy and made me feel right at home. Food was quick to serve, and breakfast was half off while we stayed. The meals were big! I had my sibling help me finish my plate and oh my goodness was it good. The coffee provided was diner style, hot and topped up often. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Truckee."
