Jalapeño's Taqueria

"I’ve eaten lunch here a handful of times and usually have had a good experience until my family and I got food poisoning. We all ate the same tacos and drinks and all got sick. We were half way done with our food when we found several hairs in our tacos. I called to let them know that day and they offered to remake them but I was already grossed out and threw the rest of the food away. The next day all 3 of us had flu like symptoms. I called the restaurant and asked for my money back. They refused and asked if I was a doctor and how could they know if I was actually telling them the truth. I did offer to take them the bag I threw up in. Don’t eat here unless you want to get sick. We also paid $50 definitely not worth getting sick."

"Best taco place in Tahoe HANDS DOWN. lived here for 2 years and have tried them all. They have anything and everything you could want from a Mexican restaurant. You will not find better flavor! The food is fresh, cooked to order fast, and delicious. And the salsa bar options are amazing. Recommend their Birria, chicken chipotle burrito, and beans & rice! Other favorites are their chorizo (it’s to die for) breakfast burrito or chorizo street tacos and steak torta!"

"Conveniently located near Emerald Bay State Park this hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant offers mediocre but sizable burritos. I do not recommend the veggie burrito (veggies are just lettuce, guacamole, and onion). The asada had a nice char flavor."

"Not a 5 star Michelin restaurant, but if you want good mexican food and low key atmosphere, this is your place. Pick anything from their menu: I don’t think you can go wrong. I recommend the birria tacos (limited availability)."

"Definitely a solid choice to eat while out in the area! They are open generally later than anyone else in the area. The burritos are a healthy size & the taco trio plate is perfect for an easy meal. Salsa bar has few options all really good from mild to hot. I loved the food overall! Gonna go every time I visit the area it was that good"
