"This one is generally much less crowded than Jack Creek and much nicer. You don't get the beautiful bluffs that you do at Jack Creek but the water is nice and the atmosphere is better. There were some people at the main location by the bridge so we parked in a day use campsite and there was a trail down to the water. It was very narrow stream that dumped into a larger body. The kids were able to "float" down the stream and play in the water. I was able to fish/float on the larger body and caught several bluegill. Your perfect last minute or time constrained trip."

"Knoppers Ford Recreation Area is a day use only picnic area located across the road from a very nice fast moving creek you can swim in. Since it is susceptible to flooding, no camping allowed. I stopped here for lunch while motorcycle touring the local dirt roads of the Ouachita National Forest. The day use area has vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings and lantern hangers. I was there in February 2020 and was a very clean place with trash cans for your trash. Very quiet, relaxing place to enjoy a quick lunch."
