Reviews of Soaring Eagle Therapy Jay Hunter
"There are two reasons why he receives one star from me: 1. I scheduled two different appointments with him that he did not show up for. I didn't say too much about the first one because it was an appointment that was set because I mistakenly missed an appointment prior to that. Which I only missed because the email for the appointment was not sent to me but to my wife's email. However, I was blown off a second time recently, and felt too dejected and discouraged to follow up with him again. He went on vacation, set up a time for me, and then never showed up. 2. I felt this way because when I did have appointments with Jay, he was often 10 to 15 minutes late, all the while ensuring that most of the time we would finish our appointments approximately at the time our session ended, which cut off anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes from my appointment. I get it, I'm on Indian time too, but at least give me my full time I'm paying for. 3. And finally, I felt as though during our sessions I was not always his main priority. For example, one of my sessions with him he was doing his dishes while speaking with me. I felt so disrespected and unheard. I'm not confrontational with medical people, it's part of my trauma. I felt like he didn't pay much attention to anything I was saying and my being partially deaf, I struggled to hear his responses, the few there were. In most sessions he rarely interacted with me and I felt like I was talking to myself. There was never any treatment plan made for me. There were never any real questions into what I needed help with. He never went beyond surface level with me. I don't usually post all that many reviews about companies and about people I render services from, but my experience has left me feeling abandoned and isolated. I truly hope that I'm a corner case for Mr. Hunter and that he treats his other clients with more respect than he has treated me. I do wish him well, and want to emphasize that I'm not being critical out of malice. I am truly hurt by my experience with him and anyone who sees him as a client should be aware of my experience. This whole thing left me so defeated I almost gave up therapy as a whole. My wife and her therapist convinced me to try someone new, which I did and am currently doing. I was hoping that having a fellow native as a therapist would be good for me, but it just ended really badly. He has still not even reached out to me to apologize for any of this. Even that would go a long way, but it just adds to the feelings of disrespect and not being a priority."
"Mr Jay Hunter is a very genuine and caring therapist. Not too many out there that are actually like that."
