"Will drop you mid-treatment with little notice and no care. Client for years, who went into inpatient treatment for addiction (which I communicated and was something I was really proud of)(he indicated that he "might look for someone" to fill my weekly slot). Definitely did not indicate that he'd ghost me once I was out (with a lot of trauma/addiction issues that came up in treatment and I was looking forward to addressing). He indicated that it was a financial decision to drop me and fill my slot for his steady $400+mo. Funny, since I willingly put my treatment on hold when he took various vacations to Italy (so, he's clearly not hurting financially) and. despite him being gone for weeks, I didn't seek out a new therapist... I really enjoyed our sessions. It left me floored and murked my mental health/abandonment issues. I asked for his notes after he dropped me. Many session notes were a couple sentences at most. Definitely not worth $100+ a session. He's a nice guy (sorry Elliot) but I would not recommend based on how I was treated."
