Reviews
"I've been putting off giving this place a review, but I think it should be known that this IS NOT teenage or young adult friendly. I could tell the moment I got there that there was a bit of contempment towards me from my therapist because of my age. Another thing to note; if your depression/ anxiety make it hard to either get places on time, speak in front of a small group, or open up to a stranger DO NOT GO HERE. They are not very understanding of anxiety and how difficult it can be to manage time with depression. My one positive note, phyllis, I believe her name is. Seemed very nice. She was training to be a DBT therapist I believe. I wish I could have worked with her."
"This clinic will change the outcome of your life. Do it for yourself and for the ones you love pick up the phone. Your worth it. Ignore the bad review on here. It’s the farthest thing from the truth. It’s the only form of therapy that’s ever worked for me. I am happy for the first time in my life. Dialectic Behavioral Therapy should be taught in schools. The therapists are available on call in crisis because they are that committed to you. Do not hesitate. They are seasoned and if the can handle me they can handle anyone. Wherever you are on your journey they will meet you there and teach you the tools and skills you need for health happiness and prosperity. Pick up the phone and tell them Kiki sent you. I’m their biggest fan !"
"I have been working with this group of therapists for several years. They are insightful, compassionate and professional. They provide services from individual counseling, family therapy and DBT instruction. They are a small office of three therapists who are well seasoned. Being small they can have flexibility with hours. Of course the cons of a small office are also present."
"Unfortunately very unprofessional. I called to set up an appointment for a family member, and was lectured on "what a commitment this is" and told I couldn't act as a liaison for the family member who is unable to drive. I explained that I would need to help with transportation and communication, and they were incredibly disrespectful and took this to mean that my family member is not serious about therapy. In fact, my family member is disabled which is why I was attempting to help. Do not contact these people! This was a terrible and legitimately upsetting experience."
"I've been working with Southbridge Counseling services for the last year, and this is my first exposure to Dialectic Behavior Therapy. The pros of said counselors is they follow DBT strictly. As with any reasonable review it would not be appropriate if I did not share the cons. The staff is still small. It means a chance of not being able to schedule with a preferred therapist. That said, my personal opinion is that this type of therapy works, for those who are willing to work. I have learned, and am still learning, valuable skills that aid me on my day to day work. If you're reading this review, chances are you're willing to at least start the process, and you can be assured there is no judgement of needing help to learn how to lead a life worth living."
