"RTC is absolutely fantastic. David is the most amazing therapist ever, and all the staff is wonderful. Couldn't recommend them more."
"If you have done any work on your own, I wouldn't bother. They failed us. Nancy was good. However, they hand out Gottman information that I had already brought to my partner to discuss. They also have you read an incredibly poorly written article by Brent Atkinson (just skip to the diagram) on how to make your partner treat you well (IMO, if I have to train my partner to treat me well, I chose the wrong partner). But I pretty much use that approach anyway in my attempts to communicate. Further, we signed forms to have information shared between Nancy and our individual therapists. Then I was told by the owner that my partner was the one that was supposed inform his therapist about what he wanted to discuss. This is like telling a 5 year old he had to tell his teacher what should be covered in class. My therapist kept muddling around in fluffy, stupid stuff that had no use. She kept asking me what my partner would need to do to build trust back. He was already doing all the suggested fluffy stuff like "text me when I'm out running errands so I know he's thinking of me". Well, he still could be texting with another woman while he's texting me. How does this help? I told Nancy, my individual therapist, and my partner over and over what I really needed to feel safe in this relationship again - why does he have to "rescue pretty, young women, in some perceived distress"? And why does he only what to have female friends then flirt with them? I never got answers. When I met with one of the owners she said I "needed to put my foot down" and tell Tim what I needed. Ahh.... I have been, for years. This is why we came to you and paid big bucks. And why we signed all the sharing of information forms so therapists could talk about our situation. But apparently, I'm supposed to tell Tim and his therapist what to work on. I'm the one that was betrayed. I'm the one that does all the reading and brings all the material to this relationship to discuss. I'm the one that models the behavior I expect. I guess I was an idiot and thought professionals would do a better job. But I was told it was my job to direct his therapy experience. If you are new to therapy and haven't been working with materials from the experts that are readily available online, they might be able to help you somewhat. They were all very nice (to the point of being sappy), but not productive for the amount of money we spent. They made the situation worse. We made NO progress. The only progress I've made is this experience convinced me to never waste my money on therapists again. EVER."
"We've only been going to Relationship Therapy Center for a few weeks, but our 7-year old has really opened up with Jennie and I can tell already this is going to be exactly what our family needed. Nothing harder than admitting you need help as a parent sometimes, but she's made us feel welcome and worthy and we just couldn't be more appreciative. We had a bit of a hiccup when my insurance changed, but the woman in billing was so helpful and walked me through it all (and I don't understand insurance at all!)."
"The staff at RTC are amazing. I’ve had the pleasure to work with several of them over the past few years: Nancy, Dee, Sam. And Erin in particular has been such a radiant light in my life. She has been incredibly supportive, caring and has been present during some of the best and worst moments of my life the last two years. I am so grateful to have found RTC."
"My wife and I are both marriage and family therapists and recently had the pleasure of training side by side with several staff from the Relationship Therapy Center. We were thoroughly impressed with their level of knowledge, insight, and dedication they have devoted to their work with couples and relationships. We would highly recommend their clinic to anyone that needs help improving the quality of their relationship!"
