"After our POS builder-grade cooling & heating system bit the dust (our two-story is barely 10 years old and did not have a variable system installed initially, the A/C has broken down multiple times, and then the heater finally quit—in part, needing a new gas valve), we called three different companies to come out and provide quotes. The first one (Paschal) charged us for a quote that would have sunk us a whopping $28K to replace our entire system, and they used the brand Trane which would have locked us into regular maintenance and special servicing if anything were to happen. In this economy?? Hard pass. I happened to look out the window one morning and saw McDonald Mechanical Services at a neighbor's house. So why not—we gave them a call. McDonald was the third company to come out, and they were honest, communicative, and prompt. They provided a free estimate and came for install two days later when the parts came in. They installed a new variable system (Goodman brand) for LESS THAN HALF of what Paschal quoted us. Very impressed with McDonald. And feel very fortunate to have heard about their work in the first place. Can't recommend them enough!"
