"DBKJ is the best coin store in the river valley by a wide margin. Since I started collecting, come here atleast once a week and everytime dale and his staff are extremely helpful and nice. I always leave in a better mood than when i come in. No matter what level of a collector you are DBKJ can help you!"
"I have made many positive and profitable purchases and sales at DBKJ over the years. Sadly, I came downtown the other day and saw that Dale’s shop has been what looks to be permanently closed. Hopefully they reopen or give us an update. All the best"
"Awesome, helpful, staff. A significant amount of amazing merchandise. They pay the closest to spot price for gold that you will be able to find around! I'm a big fan. It's worth making an appointment to just look around to see if you maybe want to buy something!"
"My husband and I had a great experience during both appointments. Making an appointment was not difficult and made it easier to discuss business with no distractions, or interruptions. Highly recommend DBKJ if you are looking for coins to add to your collection or looking to sell coins, gold or silver."
"I stopped in today to get some information on a 1921 Morgan silver dollar I have owned for 23 years, and advice about the best way to clean some sticky tar-like gunk off of the back of the coin. The salesperson was polite - to a fault - the entire time I was there. He provided me with excellent, professional, and expert information & service, and even cleaned both sides of my silver dollar gratis. He was equally helpful and courteous in answering all of my questions about buying gold and platinum (at some time in the future) as an investment, and gave me some wonderfully detailed information about some old WW2 Japanese Occupation script from the Philippines that I own, as well as showing me several pristine examples of other denominations of that same script, that were currently in stock at the store. Overall, my experience - from start to finish - was beyond my initial expectations, walking in; and I left the store 100% satisfied with shopping there. I did mention to the salesperson that he has some bad reviews on-line; and he freely told me that those reviews were from 2 people who had come in with frivolous and unrealistic requests which he could not reasonably have fulfilled. After listening to his explanation in depth, I agreed with his actions taken on those occasions - I would have done the same, if I had been in his shoes. Overall, I felt completely comfortable doing business at DBKJ Numismatics. I felt that I was treated with respect and politeness, and served in a timely fashion immediately upon entering. I will not hesitate to go there again in the future. There are about a half-dozen businesses that came up in response to my Google search for "fort smith ar silver coin". Only one of those businesses had the word "numismatics" in the company name or description; the rest said "gold and silver" and/or "pawn" … not the kinds of places I would want to go with a coin that I value and treasure for sentimental reasons. DBKJ has the word "numismatics" right in the company name for a reason - they take coins seriously. If you want expert advice and top-shelf professional service, this is the place to go. #### #### Update - Dec. 12, 2019 (10 months later) - I stopped by again today to do some X-mas shopping. My niece is pregnant and I am giving her my old trusty 1921 Morgan dollar as a birthing gift, so I wanted to buy a replacement. The owner was, once again, a thorough source of information and answered all my questions with the kind of expert knowledge of coins, and a selection of different choices, that a little neighborhood pawn shop just can't match, or ever hope to match. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE for a lifetime of devotion to coins and coin collecting! I had my heart set on a 1899-O Morgan dollar, after seeing one on the internet (and because New Orleans is my old home town - I've ridden the Esplanade bus past the old New Orleans Mint building many, many times.) I was both surprised and delighted that he had a selection of 6 different examples of that particular date and mint in stock, in a range of prices, condition, and even toning! I found a lovely PCGS MS-63 graded and slabbed Morgan that fit my budget, was/is in better shape (over all) than my 1921 coin (which had a few minor scratches and ding marks), and the 1899-O I chose even had some minor, even toning around the edges, that made it stand out and gave my new Morgan dollar some "personality" all of it's own. That means a lot, when picking out a coin for sentimental reasons, with which I plan on having a long and happy relationship for many decades to come. I also wanted some assorted plastic flips and a few air-tite holders for some coins I'm giving away as gifts this X-mas; and, as usual, everything I needed was there. I am pluperfectly pleased with my purchase, with DBKJ Numismatics in general, and with the owner of the store specifically; and I plan on going back soon to look at some more coins on my wish list. Color me PERFECTLY CONTENT with my latest purchase. This is STILL the best coin shop in town, hands down."
