Reviews of The Isaac
"I have lived at The Isaac for about six months, and it has been an experience beyond my expectations. The management has always been kind and friendly. The move in process was simple and easy, and the apartment is always clean and tidy. Maintenance has been super helpful and considerate when I have run into simple apartment upkeep issues. I would highly recommend The Isaac to anyone looking for a clean, modern apartment."
"My spouse and I were looking to rent here. At a glance it seemed to be in a nice location. However, the tour gave us less confidence in considering renting here. Our estate agent, Ryan, felt awkward and showed us the place at what felt like an arms length attitude. When we finished our tour my spouse and I both felt like the agent didn't even want us to rent from there. The area itself seems to be built a less ideal for what we would like. The square footage comes off as spacious compared to other apartments(although this also seems because they include the balcony as part of the size), but we found the design favored storage over liveability. We try to visualize where we would put out work desks, books, and furniture but couldn't really find it without it feeling like it'll be too cramped. The price itself seems to be a little higher than the feeling of return worth. The estimated price supplemental to rent is about 1/4 of the rental, which in total would've brought us up easily over 3 grand. Not really over our budget's ceiling, but I would much prefer to have just gone for a home mortgage at that kind of cost. Whenever I discussed this pricing to my home owners and realtor colleagues I got the same look of contempt in expression of how the price is way too high for a simple two bedroom apartment. Lastly, I was confused as to why they wouldn't accept our pet(a turtle). They make the entire building extremely pet friendly (with dog food dishes located in the lobby), but we were told our red ear slider wouldn't be allowed because it's a reptile. I asked for clarity, as it is an aquarium housed pet, but I was just given the prompt response that the lease simply doesn't allow reptiles. We ended up finding a much more suitable location for our new residence."
"We have lived here at the Isaac for 15 months and enjoy it overall. Pros: - great location - super pet friendly - new building so all appliances, etc are up to date. - maintenance is prompt, professional and friendly. We had an issue with our a/c and furnace - both were repaired quickly. - office staff has always been helpful and they put on several events throughout the year. - quiet - we rarely hear our neighbors (only if something hit a shared wall / drops on floor in apt above, etc). The only noise really comes if people are louder or dogs bark in the hallway. - the little store, pet snack room and coffee bar are great! Cons: - non-paid for open parking spots in outdoor can be hard to find. And not much for options of guest parking, etc. - elevators are in an odd spot (middle of building). But that was the builders design and has nothing to do with Village Green. - management has changed a few times, and with that some things have been missed in transition - but any issues we have had were resolved quickly. Overall, we enjoy it here and would recommend."
"I’ve lived at The Isaac since January 2022 when it opened. Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience living here. The pool is beautiful, the gym is clean (a little small but good enough), the rooftop is such a relaxing space with the fire pits, etc. the walking paths around the neighborhood are nice. The music in the main areas is fun. The location is unmatched. I appreciate Holly (the property manager) & her demeanor, kindness, and quick ability to solve problems. The apartment itself is beautiful and quiet. I never hear my neighbors. My only complaint is parking in the surface lot. If you don’t get purchase a reserved parking spot, you will have a hard time finding a spot to park."
"I’ve lived at The Isaac since it opened in January ‘21. During this time, I’ve seen the property management evolve from the original company (Greco) to the current one (Village Green.) I do believe that the current company inherited a bit of a mess from the first. Google both and you’ll notice quite a difference. The 1st mgmt co was only here from Jan ‘21 - May ‘21, but they were unorganized (promised one parking space, ended up with something totally different), made a lot of promises they didn’t keep (like adding storage cages in the garage), mishandled rent (I have the receipts), moved people in before the finishing was done (had to have extensive repair done on my actual bathtub, it had soft spots that cracked), and had a lot of turnover in general within those first five months. We had numerous issues with theft and the building didn’t feel secure. When Village Green got here at the end of May ‘21 it was a welcome relief. The residents got notified about the management change late on a Sunday, to be effective on Monday. The immediate shift was noticeable. Quickly, the property started getting taken care of and looked after. Security tightened up. Community gatherings were starting to happen. The staff were putting effort and care into their roles here at the property. It started to feel like a community was being built. I do not regret extending my lease when it was up. Any new property is going to have growing pains. I commend the current team. They bring positive vibes and good tunes to our community. And they got the pool open on time this year! :) A few key highlights I appreciate: I very rarely hear my neighbors - the sound proofing was done well; I love that they are dog friendly; the rooftop hang is excellent; the location is amazing; pool!; grillin to good tunes; the market!!; the yoga room (really need to use this more, same with the sauna!); the free specialty coffee in the lobby; the cameras and other security features; the package room; the e-mail communication (I’d rather have too much information than not enough, the current team is way better than past managers); the pleasant neighbors; did I mention the location?! It’s a jungle out there when it comes to finding the right place to live in the current market. I’m so glad I decided to make The Isaac my home. Hopefully someday I can purchase my own, but for now I’m enjoying my time while I’m here. Wishing everyone looking the best of luck! (Pics are of some nature shots around the property, there are blooms all spring and summer!)"
