"Russell Wood is defending a Bay police officer that murdered a civilian because he assumed the man’s ATV was stolen because it was brand new. While that is not a problem and the officer does have the right to legal representation, Mr. Wood decided to give a statement to the news that the victim died “due to his own felonious acts”. However, the audio recording of the incident with dispatch does not mention any felonious acts. The only reason the officer gave for trying to stop someone in his unmarked Dodge Ram with no sirens blaring and then pitting him which caused him to wreck and die was that his ATV was “brand new and may be stolen”. For Mr. Wood to make a public statement blaming the victim is abhorrent. I would not trust an attorney that makes false allegations and victim blames to make his client look less guilty."
