Reviews of Willow Pond
"Not even remotely worth it. Don't waste your money. BTW this is the 3rd time I'm changing my review and it's only gotten worse. This place is a money hole. _____________________________ Quick update: We will take immense legal action if we are unfairly charged upon move out. We will be taking pictures of our unit, screenshots of the reviews, contacting past tenants and talking to our family lawyer to make sure we are not fraudulently charged because of the greediness of Bigos Management. We will be bringing corporate into the mess. Save yourselves some trouble and just don't. With this hot water pipe bursting, we had the manager come in with all smiles saying we will be charged for this accident. We almost took legal action, but we'll save the grand finale for move out day."
"Horrible place to live. All the maintenance people don’t know proper hygiene and the office people are very rude and short with everyone. They turn off the water seemingly every week and sometimes without any notice. You’ll just go to wash dishes or brush your teeth and no water will come out. The laundry machines are extremely cheap and can’t even handle washing any types of bedding. That is, even if they are working. This place is not worth it to live in because there will be some type of inconvenience they’ll cause you every week. And the people who work in the office are not good at their jobs. They send out emails extremely late to notify of something happening, with many errors in it. Choose literally anywhere else to live and call home, but not here. I can’t wait till my lease is up next year."
"Washing machines have not been fixed in over a year. We have had our vehicle damaged and there are no working security cameras - they just keep insisting they are working on it, but it’s been over a year. We found a rat in our apartment and was told that an exterminator would come - no one did (this was about 5 months ago)."
"When my roommates and I moved in, we thought it was a great place to live. Maintenance requests were always handled in a timely manner & the office admin seemed to be very nice. We decided to move out (since the price of living there was jacked up immensely to renew our lease and the price for the quality of the place was not worth it). Ever since we moved out we have had nothing but issues. We made sure we didn’t leave anything behind to avoid a $150 fee that would be taken out of our deposit. There were apparently tables left in the hallway and we were blamed for leaving them behind, which was stuff we did not even own. We had to fight for our $150 back and eventually got it, but they still haven’t sent some of our security deposit back to us (it’s been 4 months.) We have emailed them numerous times, and there has been no response. It’s honestly just getting frustrating that they are not tentative after move out processes. Make sure you take pictures of all the stuff you own so you don’t get blamed for somebody else’s belongings :)"
"Update: The exterminator did come in yesterday but now all we can do is wait the recommended 1 month to see if we're still seeing cockroaches inside the unit. Overall, great staff, I really do appreciate the hard work of everyone I've spoken with at the leasing office! Everyone's had their hands full trying to contain the situation with pests so I don't fault the front office for trying to coordinate with the exterminator company used. The full sized washers/dryers are refreshing to see, there's plenty of parking readily available, the fire alarms on top of the smoke detectors in each bedroom(3) of the unit is foreign to me. The price for the apartment and other expenses are more affordable than previous places, but with cockroaches and other issues as soon as we moved in, I would not recommend this complex unless I was certain the pest issues would not occur in other units. ---------------------- Staff has been great in handling maintenance requests, faster than previous apt complexes (same day or within 24hrs), however we were not permitted to move into our unit on the date we initially wanted it. This should have been our first warning flag. It seemed like the unit was under construction beforehand and still needed several repairs/fixes after we moved in. (Most requests have already been handled, we are waiting to fully unpack before submitting reminder requests on the remaining fixes that still need to happen.) The biggest issue overall: cockroaches. In the less than 2 months of being here, we've spent more time re-packing our belongings than unpacking. On our first night staying in the unit, we spotted cockroaches and it was clear this was a known problem in the A building before we moved in (this was evident by the fact that when the issue was reported, we were told the cockroaches must've come from an adjacent unit). Property management is just as frustrated as we are by the lack of instruction provided by the exterminator company(s) used, but I would've hoped such a problem would've been addressed before tenants moved in. As someone working from home with 2 roommates that work night shifts, this whole ordeal has been disruptive to our schedules. Hopefully the 3rd exterminator coming will be the last so we can actually try living somewhat comfortably before moving out at the end of our lease. This is a great property in terms of price and location with great staff overall, but the fact that pests were a known issue and this is all happening right as we moved in is disappointing."
