Reviews of Abbott Apartments
"Today was a depressing day for me I pulled up to the candle visual only to see how all the teddy bears and flowers along with a picture that was put on the tree toward the back of the building and to see it snatched down the murder is still walking around free and may live in this building amongst families and children also does the management company even care about lives in this building Please all I asked was to let us mourn who has the heart to do this would they want it done to them because it doesn’t feel good at all So I put more pics up and let’s see if they would take these down"
"My family member got murdered at these apartments and we build a memorabilia up candle visual light we visited today and they tore it down this building is not securing ppl nor concerned about they’re well being or family loss especially when it was done here at this building"
"The onsite managers were generally helpful, and seemed like they wanted to do the right thing. That being said, in the two years I lived there more than 8 property and assistant property managers were hired and fired. Senior property managers (Julie and Richard) are condescending, rude, and just plain awful people. They couldn’t even handle the basics of property management like keeping track of parking spaces, which units were vacant/occupied, who had their stuff in which storage unit. Every few months I’d get a form under my door requesting my parking permit number, parking space, etc. Like, did you lose the last four I brought to the office? God forbid you ask them to do something more complicated like fix a washing machine."
"I lived here for a year and would not recommend anyone reading this to live here. I've had a package stolen and the manager back then (May 2022) did not care. When I requested for the cctv footage, he said that the police had been informed already. When I asked for the police report, he was beating around the bush, so my suspicion is that the cctv's don't work and he never informed the police about this. When I submitted an application for a roommate, they lost that application which contained extremely sensitive information, and I had to pay for that lost application on top of that. Moreover, this apartment/neighborhood in general is just unsafe. There was once a police chase in the parking lot which resulted in the lawbreaker crashing into multiple cars (including the cop car) and causing chaos. I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. I was so relieved once my lease was over. Don't move here!!!!"
"I Stayed in Abbott apartments for 4 years, It is worth to stay when considered from cost and proximity to the Minneapolis Downtown. But, Property Managers are very deceptive in sharing the information and they constantly look opportunities to mug. your Dollars. When I decided to move out of here, they refused to share the rental reference to my new landlord and demanded to put a notice first. Legally you are allowed to keep multiple leases if you qualify. They actually wanted to keep me in limbo as new landlord will not confirm application until they get rental reference from Abbott. On the day we were moving out, we called the property manager to handover the apartment and keys, and we specifically asked her if everything looks good as per cleanliness and condition of apartment and even told her we can do more if required. She signed the check out sheet were nothing was mentioned about cleanliness and later they charged us $120 for it and deducted the amount from the deposit. I reported this cheating behavior to their Main Management, Metes & Bounds and after repeated follow up they never responded back. This suggests that they must be doing this with others too. For New Tenants, I would suggest be clear with them of the things upfront as they have tendency to change things while your lease is still on and can charge you for unnecessary items. Due to their careless attitude one of the tenant's bike was stolen from locked bike storage room. In addition to above my apartment's air conditioning system made so much noise that it suppresses the sound from the Television Set when it is running. Keep this apartment in your list at bottom, better pay slightly higher rent and get better service. I hope this helps.."
