"I’ve lived in these apartments for little over a year now and I really like it! My apartment is very cozy and the perfect size. I love using the downstairs gym. And the location is perfect - close enough to North Loop, the theater district, and the Stone Arch Bridge to be able to walk to fun things but far enough away that there isn’t constant noise. I feel very safe in this apartment building - there are multiple key codes required in both the parking garage and the building itself that help me feel very secure. The management staff is very trustworthy, kind, and helpful. I know I could go to them if I had a problem and I trust they’d do everything they could to help."

"I’ve had a nice time living at Rivergate so far. Management works hard to handle building issues. Shout out to Hannah! Also, Patrick works hard to keep the building clean. I truly appreciate his efforts. I do wish folks would pick up their dogs poop though. I also wish people wouldn’t throw things down the trash chute that they aren’t supposed to. But again, the team works hard to address these issues."
"Worst plumbing issues ever!! I lived here for two years and live in two separate units. The first unit, my tub was always clogged and even after maintenance came it would clog up not even hours later, and my toilet would constantly be running. After year I moved into my current unit. The appliances are outdated and small and again my toilet is running and tub. Drain is always clogged. Will not be living here after this month. Let me also note how “ maintenance” came into my home last year unannounced without permission and got verbally disrespectful with me for being upset about it. I had no maintenance request put in and was not notified office staff did nothing but gave a cheap sorry. Not worth the price at all. I don’t feel safe here at all. Neighbors are lovely people though!"
"I've lived there for close to 3 years. Ended the lease with Rivergate last month and they sent me a move out balance of $734! There is an apparent threatening towards the end of the security deposit statement that if the payment isn't made within the next 10 days, the management will go to court... The move-out balance includes the last 2 months' utilities, which are exorbitantly high. Water charges are about $75 per month, and electricity charges are about the same! I have no idea how this is possible. I've lived by myself and have never used that much of water or electricity (this is Minnesota and not California). When I moved in, back in 2020, the carpet looked "used" (read: about 4 years old) and they told me that they change it only once in 7 years! And after my move out they have charged me $218 for carpet replacement (don't forget that I have already lived there for 3 years). For some mysterious "extra cleaning" they have charged me $235. Per my knowledge I have left the apartment almost in the same state as I rented it in 2020. Of course there has been normal wear and tear, but don't forget that I have already lived there for 3 years and kept paying rent every month without fail. When I lived there, for the last year and a half, the maintenance requests were almost always delayed to be taken care of (initially a very nice maintenance guy was there but he retired early 2022, and things became very bad). I even had issues with heating during the brutal Minnesota cold, and had to manage with a personal space heater for a whole weekend! The toilet kept running and the management took more than 3 weeks to fix it even after multiple requests. The consequence was high water charges which I paid without any delay. I'm very disappointment with this place, and the management. I'm never going to come back here, ever, and wouldn't recommend anyone to live here, however lucrative Rivergate's (or Sentinel's) advertisements could look."
