Reviews of Hoigaard Village
"I’ve had my eye on the Hoigaard Village apartments for a couple of months now and I finally decided to walk into the office to get more information about a potential lease. From the moment I walked in, one of the leasing agents, Ericka, was incredibly kind and helpful. She provided a lot of great information about the units and each building, and she was very patient in walking me through my different leasing options. Ultimately I decided to apply! The buildings are gorgeous and they have great amenities for the price."
"I have lived in the Adagio building for a little over a year now. So far, only minor complaints. We have needed several repairs in the apartment, but the maintenance crew has consistently been very responsive and they provide good repairs. They are one reason for the 5-star review. The other complaint is that they raised the rent after our first year of being here without much of a warning. They also changed what utilities the residents need to pay for. This was pretty annoying but I've heard similar things from other apartment buildings in the area. Overall, the rent seems fair for the location so I don't feel cheated out of rent money. I've only interacted with Coral from the managing office, and she is the other main reason this is a 5-star review. She is always quick to provide as much help as she can, and is always quick to answer any questions or concerns I have had. If you are looking at renting here, she alone can make your experience worth while."
"I’ve had the pleasure of living at Camerata Way for 18 months. I love my apartment and my neighbors have become my friends. Whenever I’ve had friends come to stay they always comment how quiet it is. You don’t hear everything your neighbors doing. The Maintenance Department is stellar. Any issues I’ve requested help with were addressed within hours. Even when my refrigerator died they had a brand new one installed with 3 hours! Being a single woman, safety is paramount. For anyone it is. I feel completely safe and secure here . Management is exceptionally good here at Camerata. Their teamwork does not go unnoticed. They are great at fostering relationships with tenants and building a sense of community by offering fun events to get us together to mingle and get to know each other. It’s really a kind and generous gesture to provide a food truck for all of us to have dinner together. Fun times. Property manager Julie, went above and beyond to listen to a personal challenge I recently had that affected my finances and help me resolve a hurdle. I think open communication was the key to garnering her help and her understanding . I’m so grateful for her! Lastly, our two cleaning people, Donna and Cortez, do such an extraordinary job in keeping our common and community spaces so clean you’ll be proud to have any of your family or friends visit you!"
"I genuinely cannot recommend living here, at least not under the current management. We have had many issues since moving in a year ago. The most recent string of issues has been numerous break ins to cars throughout the property. My car was broken in to within my assigned parking spot and my partner’s car had its catalytic converter stolen about 4 months prior- there have been 2 other known instances of other break ins at other times as well. Although management can’t do anything to stop crime completely, they simply do not care about preventing it or taking any other safety precautions on the property (other than changing light bulbs on the street to make sure everything is well lit?). They don’t follow up about these instances, don’t even apologize or take responsibility that this is happening on the property that THEY manage. When I try talking to them about this, I only get excuses and I am talked over the entire time. Other issues: they didn’t air out our carpet after cleaning it upon move in so our unit smelled like mildew and nastiness- their solution was to re-move all of our furniture so they could clean it again AFTER our move in date. They messed up parking on our lease. Raised our rent to be more “in line with the market” and changed utility structure so entirely overpriced now. The main elevator stops working often and can take days to fix over the weekend, which is inconvenient and not acceptable for those who cannot use the stairs. Also, if they tell you the train doesn’t come late or often, it sure does and it is loud and shakes the apartment in the winter especially. Overall the only good thing I have to say is the pool is nice, room is cozy, and maintenance is quick. But none of that is worth dealing with managements PC answers and not solving any safety issues or caring about their resident’s property."
"When first looking for apartments, I came across Hoigaard Village. I booked a tour and Coral was amazing and very helpful showing all the open apartments! When applying, she did everything she could to make sure I was able to get the apartment and I did! I can not thank her enough for helping with the approval process. I have lived here for 3 months and I love it. The pools are great, the workout rooms are rarely busy/full, garage parking is worth it, maintenance responds in a timely manner and management is all around amazing. They do fun activities for residents, especially in the summer. The area really feels like a small “village” with so many free parking spaces. I really could go on about how great this place is and would love to stay here as long as I can!"
