Bungalows of Champlin

"I've lived here a couple years. The area's nice, but the place is kinda falling apart. There've been repeated maintenance issues the whole time I've lived here. It's gotten better with a new manager, but repairs are shoddy and incomplete. There's still a hole in my closet wall kicked in by the old manager when we had the tub leaking in there for 2 months before they finally did anything. When they changed managers they just kind of forgot about the mold and the hole and every other unresolved issue we'd been hounding them about. The power to my garage is still constantly out because something on the circuit keeps getting tripped. There are other issues I just gave up on, either fixed myself or had to re-fix myself after their shoddy replacement failed like when they put in a new kitchen faucet that was made of plastic and looked like it cost $10 at Dollar General and the handle flew off after a month unleashing a geyser of water in the middle of the night when all I wanted was a cup of water. It was still alright for the money, a little expensive. But now they're raising the rent, and I don't mean a little, like by $300-$400/month! This place is not worth over $1500 a month. It's kinda small, the 2nd "bedroom" is so not a bedroom, with these sliding doors that are housed in the walls when they're open, so when they're closed the walls are hollow and do nothing block noise from the living room. So that means if you move in with a roommate, whoever gets the 2nd bedroom won't get much privacy, or much sleep if there are people doing stuff in the living room. The walls between the units are kinda thin. There's no lock on the freaking bathroom! I mean, you could just install a new knob yourself, but jeez, what a simple thing to not provide for $1500 a month. The place was absolutely filthy when we moved in. Maybe they do a better job cleaning now. I could go on and on. All I can say is that after all I've put up with here, I'm rather offended by the rent increase."

"I have lived in the Bungalows of Champlin for almost three years. I absolutely love it. My unit is perfect and has a very unique layout. I have had to call maintenance on occasion and always met in a timely way and very pleasant to work with. I cannot say enough about my experience living here. I would give it 10 stars."

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. Me and my boyfriend applied for a apartment that was available June 7th which worked perfect for us. We got accepted but never received a call from the management. We ended up calling them first to hear that it was never even available. We paid $76 to apply for a home that was never available. We complained and their response was “not everything online is up to date” which is totally understandable but they EMAILED us the availability. They are scamming people. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE."
