"I signed a lease renewal contact with Briggs, which clearly states that either party can give the other 90 days notice to vacate the apartment unit. In addition to the written, signed contract, this detail of the renewal contract was affirmed by a Briggs representative in an email chain. Regardless, we were later given 30 days notice to vacate. When we disputed this, we were told there were "tenant regulations" which superseded this written contract. I was not shown these regulations, nor did I see them mentioned in the lease contract. Briggs refused to honor the written contract and held my wife and I to a 30 day notice."
