"First off, you can't beat the location. Purgatory Creek path is right out your back door, and it's about a mile away from Staring Lake - a path that the city does its best to make accessible year-round. In the summer, Staring hosts TONS of events that are fun to plan for or just stumble upon, whether it's a concert or a carnival. Second, I think it's rare in EP to find an affordable place with a one-car attached garage AND central air. Windsong has this. If your household has two cars, I imagine juggling around snow removal is not fun. That may be a consideration for you. I've been a renter on and off for twenty years, and Darla is the best property manager I've ever met. She cares so much about your experience here, and it's evident from day one. I have needed things fixed in my three years here, and the response is always very fast. And if I've had a problem at 11 pm on a weekend, she's made sure I am set up to comfortably live with the situation until someone can make it in. Overall, the only reason I'm leaving is because my SO and I bought a house. I'd absolutely live here again if retirement makes me want to rent and stay in MN. It's cute and cozy and....dang you just can't beat that daily walk/run around the best lake!"

"Really quiet neighborhood, but upstairs neighbors for part of the time where pretty noisy. They added hardwood flooring that was supposed to be refinished but that never happened. Still nice having a walk in garage and the nature in the patio."

"I lived at Windsong for a couple years and my stay there was amazing. Yes things brake and need repair but everything always got handled. I would recommend it to anyone out there. Darla was by far the best!"

"I lived at Windsong in 2016, and during the time I was moving out I was told they would prorate the rent I paid for the dates in which the new renter moved in. Despite having conversions for the last 8 months with the property manager about them promising me over and over again on the phone that they would be paying me this money back that they owed me they still have not. The property manager clearly has messed up or done something she is afraid to report to management because now she has stopped answering my phone calls and no longer returns my voice mails, so I have no one to get in contact with any longer to get this resolved. After she has lied to me numerous times about the check being cut the prior week and should be on its way, I have become so unbelievably disappointed in this company as well as the property manager because they are running quite a messed up business. The property manager has now finally stated they won't be refunding me the prorated rent stating that the renter never moved in early. Since they asked for the keys early stating the renter was going to be moving in early, and stated they were cutting a check for the prorated amount and never did I would not recommend working with them."

"Worst place to live !! Management is bad and their maintenance staff is not proactive. Apartment had lots of insects, worms, spiders etc. Had a whole rat family. I had to complain to the management more than 4 times for them to take care of the rat problem seriously and call the pest control. The leasing office rep is also not very responsive."
