"I am an Essentia Health employee and giving this pharmacy a 1-star review breaks my heart. My Essentia insurance gives me the best price if I use an in-network pharmacy so I am stuck using this pharmacy. One time they filled me the wrong prescription, instead of requip, I received risperidone. Took me days to get this corrected. After realizing the error, the pharmacist was very apologetic and was willing to do whatever it takes to make it up to me. I simply said, I am glad I am alive and this was a mistake with no serious affect and moved on. Second time my PCP retired and they couldn't fill my prescription so I had to establish care with another PCP at Essentia and this pharmacy kept saying they never received the fax from the new doc's office. I tried giving them new doctor's name, office phone number etc. but they said the doctor often sends prescription to the wrong fax and they insisted I contact the doctor's office and give him the correct fax number. You'd think this is a common customer service they'd offer to update their fax number with the doctor's office, especially when both the pharmacy and doctor are Essentia Health. I was without med for 3 days and got zero help from the pharmacy staff. Third time, I went to pick up a prescription for my son. Before heading, i called and asked if the prescription is ready, they said yes. After going to the pharmacy, they said they cannot find the prescription. Had to ask for the pharmacist, she was super nice and after eventually waiting for 45 minutes, she found it. Apparently the prescription bag was hung with wrong alphabet. Fourth time, it was an anti-biotic. After having to deal with so many trouble I decided to have them mail the prescription to me. They even charged me for the shipping. After not receiving the antibiotic in a week or so, I called them and they said they have it showing as delivered on their end. When I said I never received it, they said it's not their problem. I asked can you please fill the prescription again, I will come pick it up. They said the doctor will need to order a refill and I have to contact doctor's office. They didn't even offer a refund for the missing/never mailed prescription. The service is quite frankly, unacceptable here. I can see the staff are overworked and definitely under staffed. Essentia needs to step up and provide this pharmacy with additional resources and training. My 4-5 bad interactions shows there's a pattern of dropping the ball left and right. This is a patient safety concern. As a coworker who works for the same company, I am sympathetic to the nice, pharmacist lady here. She's trying her best to keep this pharmacy together with everything she got but we are only human and she can only do so much on her own. I feel like this pharmacy is a ticking time bomb unless Essentia can provide the additional help they need or more mistakes can lead to costly accidents. Update: I received a call from the owner and she personally apologized and offerd explanation for all events. In light of our conversation, I am updating my review. I wish nothing but the very best to this pharmacy and their staff."
"My uncle was admitted to the hospital unplanned. He went in for a check up and found out he will be there for 4 to 5 days. During this Covid19 we are unable to visit. I called the gift shop and was informed by the front desk they are not open at this time. I thought I would try the pharmacy. They were very helpful and kind. I was able to purchase over the phone some beverages, his favorite candy and a phone charger and some other things for him. They delivered it to his room within 20 minutes. Thank you for helping out our family and going the extra mile. It was appreciated more than you realize. It’s the simple things that can make a persons day brighter."

"My son had switched to Dakota Clinic Pharmacy 2 years ago. Since then the staff have come to know his name, that when picking up his medication we don't have to say anything. The staff always have a smile, caring and very personable. They ask me how he is doing with his chemotherapy treatments and his visits to Mayo. They helped him save out-of-pocket money. Hands down the BEST pharmacy in town!"
