Reviews of Willow's Edge Commons
"Friendly, hospitable and informative staff! Gorgeous, clean apartments and townhome units. Deangelo Smith puts the “pro” in property management. If you want a great showing, ask him to present you to your new home!"
"We LOVE the Willow's edge! Nestled in the beautiful South Dakotan countryside, yet a mere 10 minute drive from the vibrant heart of downtown. Our window overlooks a picturesque horse farm, and we take daily walks in the safe, well-kept, quiet, surrounding neighborhoods. The wonderful management team is dedicated to its residents comfort and well being by offering quick and efficient maintenance service, and complimentary Starbucks coffee in the club house. The public spaces are clean, spacious, and equipped with the latest amenities. The residents are very friendly and kind, with plenty of sweet pups to pet. We are very happy here. Thank you for providing an amazing place to call home!"
"Unfortunately, the new construction and nice club house is overshadowed by poor management. Between poor follow through, not returning messages, and horrible office hours, it is impossible to have any effective change happen. I am disappointed by my experience at willows edge. I only hope that the management team will take this review to heart as constructive criticism and improve their policies to serve the residents still living there. I would not recommend moving to this community until this change of heart has happened."
"My fiancé, dog and I lived here for almost 2 years. We had a pretty good experience until move out. We recently moved out because we bought a home and upon move-out we had a walk through with 4 employees. During our walk through, multiple individuals commented on how well we cleaned and how well we took care of the townhome. We just received our deposit slip in the mail and owed them an additional $400 on top of what we’d already paid for the security deposit, a $150 non-refundable pet fee and an additional $25/month in rent for our pet. Management claimed they had to replace the carpet due to pet urination. Our dog is 3 years old and had maybe a handful of accidents while we lived there to which we cleaned thoroughly. We also shampooed the carpets twice before we moved out. The non-refundable pet fee was not applied toward the carpet replacement and neither were any of the $25 payments we made to have a pet. What is this monthly payment used for, then? How about the non-refundable pet fee? Wouldn’t it make sense that our monthly payment or this non-refundable fee is credited toward any damages that may occur from a pet? The townhome was brand new when we moved in and we took excellent care of the place. We understood we may not get much of a deposit back after cleaning fees, but we felt we were heavily penalized for being great tenants when we owed an additional $400. The carpet replaced was a very small area and again, our pet had only a couple of accidents in the time we lived there. Even so, the $150 non-refundable pet fee and extra monthly pet payment wasn’t applied to “damages” incurred. This has been so frustrating. In all the years I’ve rented I have never gotten nothing back AND had to pay in. I can’t imagine how much other tenants must have to pay in if we owed an additional $400."
"Been here for a bit over 3 months and have been waiting that long to get the sliding glass door replaced as it was damaged prior to my fiancée and I moving in. I was originally told to put in a work order for everything and they completed all of it out even though not everything is fixed. This might have been constructions mess up and falls on them to fix but should not have been completed until they fixed it. Making me feel like the complex don't care. Also our tub had a hole in the side. And as these apartments are to be walked through for inspection before anyone moves in and they still missed this stuff, that makes it worse. Makes me not want to renew the lease with them and feel should be compensated for inconvenience."
