"I was out of town but wanted to ship an order by having an employee bring it to Pack & Ship to create the labels for FedEx Ground using our account. I called Pack & Ship and was told they could with a paper form. I sent a text to my employee with the address and instructions to use FedEx Ground with our account number. When I returned to work the next week I found that a FedEx Express form was used, and for the size and weight of shipment I calculated the shipment will cost $400 more than ground shipment would have. If they would have told my employee ground wasn’t possible we would have waited until this week and made our own label. it was not that urgent. Instead they used a FedEx Express label and did not check off any of the six service levels, so FedEx picked Priority Overnight, the second most expensive just below Overnight AM, while the least expensive option of the six would have been 3 day Express Saver.. but they did not bother to even ask the service level we wanted, obviously because none was checked off. Knowing we wanted Ground you’d think if they were making assumptions for us they would have made a choice closer to ground service. When I asked these questions after the fact I got the “we can’t take any responsibility” talk. When I simply suggested as feedback that better communication would be helpful, it was turned around on me that WE should have communicated better. Ok, hear this: You won’t see us in your store ever again. You’ve served us well over the years but you only get one chance to treat us like that."
