Bethel Manor & Winona Shores | An Ecumen Living Space

Bethel Manor & Winona Shores is an affordable housing institution located at 910 Ash Street in Alexandria, Minnesota. Our community offers 159 independent living apartments for income-eligible adults on the beautiful shores of Lake Winona. These apartments are subsidized by HUD, with rent based on monthly income after medical expenses.

In May 2022, a storm damaged our lakeside walkway, prompting a shoreline restoration project. We are working with the Douglas County Soil & Water Conservation District to naturalize 500 ft. of lakeshore with native flowers and grasses. The project includes creating a new patio, improving water runoff management, and adding an accessible nature trail with seating areas.

Our Service Coordinator is available to assist residents with personal care or nursing needs, allowing them to stay in their apartments as long as possible. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all residents, regardless of background or identity.
