Reviews of Cheyenne Estates
"I’ve lived at Cheyenne estates 3 different times totaling 8 years. The location is amazing the apartments are huge and convenient. Sometimes maintenance takes a little longer because of the demand but I don’t mind. When it’s something major it gets fixed! I recommend this place to everyone looking. Crystal is a great landlord!"
"Did you know that this building was built in 1996 according to the information available online? Did you also know that per federal law, all residential rental buildings built after 1991 are required to be accessible by wheelchair or other mobility device? When I need to use my wheelchair, I can't leave my apartment. Also somebody put up posters in the hallway of my floor talking about forming a tenants union, and THAT NIGHT the holes behind my unit that nearly broke a neighbor's ankle were being filled. The place has never looked clean at all until some kind stranger threatened to make management clean their act up via unionizing, and that should tell you all you need to know. I hope the residents learn that it's the landlord that makes your rent go up while the property value goes down, not the presence of a union. Otherwise, I bet they'd practically make us join one as part of the lease agreement."
"Experience with this apartment buildings, horrible. Management? Crystal; only magically appear on rent day, but not when you need them or something happens. The Building manager's contact info not all the buildings have it up to date so the ones in display most of the time no longer work for this place & share sympathy if we are lucky on getting any assistance at all with the issue at hand. Don't bother on the phone number besides the building it only sends you to the office's phone on the buildings ground.. Which ends in more frustration. You try to be patient & understanding, but its simply a joke. Sauna & pool? I wouldn't even trust dipping a toe in either sometimes they don't even come to clean them for months which is sad & gross seen all the family's going there to pass time. The workout room? Only the threadmill looks safe enough to use.. The other equipments are not working or cover in rust.. The carpets smell of musty sweat & you can tell the stains apart on how frequently its 'maintained'. Pet fees? Ridiculous never heard of 350 per pet anywhere I had been before or been trying to get a new hold of.. Some even sadly had to restrain from owning even goldfish due to this. oh, but wait that's not all. A few months of endlessly asking the landlady for the new laundry keys of the building I'm staying due they changed the locks which she must provide if it happens to all tenants.. She wants to charge us for them. I never got my spare of keys for my own apartment have to depend that hopefully my roommate is in before i arrive from work..or I'm lock outside. She claims that I should get them copy from my roommate when she has to provide me with them.. & this has been for over a year now. It's ridiculous. Regrettably one of the worst places to live.. Not due to the people in it.. Just management."
"I lived in Cheyenne Estates apartments buildings for one whole year. My experience there was very very horrible. Dogs would defect outside and the owners wouldn’t bother to pick it up. Also their laundry machines don’t work right, they leave dirty marks and spots on your clothing. She also charged us for damage that has already been there before us and that was the toilet seat. I would not recommend anyone To live there at all."
"I stayed 7 months in this apartment, maintenance was awful, if you report any incident no body cares, they don't listen, fire alarm doesn't work and they don't check them. They require $500.00 deposit that they will deduct you anyway. When you make a deposit this amount, you have to know you will never refund. For example, i and manager did make round before I left the apartment. She told me i did a good job except one thing needed to replace. When I saw my deposit refund however, they almost deduct for I did nothing. I lived in apartment all my life that i have never seen like this. My stay was very very bad experience. Please find another place, there is plenty in Fargo."
