Dr. Ashley Sandeen

Dr. Ashley Sandeen is a pediatric medicine specialist located at 1305 West 18th Street in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She focuses on intensive care for children with life-threatening conditions, illnesses, and trauma, as well as post-surgical care. Dr. Sandeen's clinical interests include respiratory failure, ventilator management, ICU delirium, and shock. She is dedicated to quality improvement initiatives, such as the ICU Liberation Bundle and supporting the Choosing Wisely initiative.

In addition to her practice, Dr. Sandeen is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of South Dakota and serves as the associate program director for the pediatric residency program at the USD Sanford School of Medicine. She is actively involved in mentoring residents and medical students, participating in committees, and promoting physician wellness within the residency program and at Sanford Health.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Sandeen is a married mother of two who enjoys practicing yoga, spending time with her family, hiking, cooking, baking, engaging in the arts, and watching University of North Dakota hockey.
