Reviews of Columbia West
"Starting to not be a huge fan of goldmark anymore! When Jason was the manager I never had an issue getting ahold of someone in the office! Now I am having issues getting in contact with someone and I have called a handful of time! Very convenient when it’s a Friday and a holiday weekend! Been with you guys for a few years now and now I’m starting to become un happy"
"Honestly so bad I want to move out I don’t even do anything and I’m always getting cops called on me I work 11 hours a day literally gone all day , I’ve been trying to call the Columbia office because I want to move somewhere else but they never answer my call I leave so much voicemails and nothing plz I don’t recommend this building nothing good here all the benefits she says not worth it even a bit. I literally have to pay a 1000$ ticket because they keep calling cops it’s not my fault the walls are thin but I know I’m allowed to talk in my apartment that I PAY FOR."
"I co-signed for an apartment for my son and his friend. They haven't even moved in yet. The lease doesn't start until 9/1. We needed to back out due to a moving out of state issue. People in your Columbia West office say that we can pay a $300 fee and advertise the apartment availability ourselves and still pay for the rent until it's rerented OR do a buy out where we pay over $3,000. Advertising the apartment ourselves doesn't insure that your staff would show it or even try to rent it out. I mean why would they if someone is already paying rent for the place. I would understand keeping the deposit and maybe the $300 cancellation fee. But gouging us for at least 6 months of rent plus, you'll be able to rerent it in no time. No one has moved into it yet and so no one needs to reclean it. I realize you all aren't in the customer service industry but more of the supply and demand. I will tell anyone that will listen to not deal with your company. It was against my better judgement in the first place. The girl I spoke with in the office could have cared less about the situation. Her supervisor seemed to be a little more understanding but still wasn't empowered to make a decision that would help "a customer." This whole thing isn't right. It isn't fair. I, however, am in the customer service industry and go above and beyond for my customers on a daily basis. A little understanding and exceptions go a long way with them. It means REPEAT business. I'm not sure my frustrations will fall on anyone that can do anything about this or that will even care to."
"Such a great place to live! I mean to start every place has flaws. You can't expect perfection but my experience has been damn near perfect! The managers at the building we're very helpful with every step and we're flexible when needed before signing the lease and thus far afterwards. It's a pretty quiet and comfortable place to live. Also having a gym 100 ft down the hallway is a huge plus! Thanks Columbia West Team"
"Terrible. I should have listened to two of my friends who stayed here the previous years I joined as well as my old co worker. My co worker stayed she had a terrible experience when moving out. So did my friends. It was best fitted for me at the time so I signed a 1yr lease. Worst mistake ever. I had an agreement with the manager about moving out a month early as long as it was rented. They stated it was rented, we payed for carpet cleaners ourselves and was waiting for our deposit. They kept our deposit, charged us for our last months rent without reaching out explaining it wasn't rented then hit us with fees. Now I have to pay last month. No deposit. And bad credit. Why bad credit? Bc l went to play bball overseas and was never contacted about this payment until I check credit karma. Thanks for nothing. I should have listened."
