Reviews of Fly Freak Studio
"I can't say enough good things about Fly Freak. I had always wanted to try sling/silks but was nervous because I had no idea what I was doing. If that's you, fear not! The instructors are SO kind and helpful. They all truly want you to enjoy yourself and improve your skills, and are always willing to talk you through a move when you're "stuck". I have yet to meet an instructor there that I didn't like - in fact, every single one I think "wow, I could be friends with this person!" What really blew me away though, was also how encouraging the other students are. Anytime somebody does a new trick/move, everyone cheers them on and celebrates with them. There is truly such a sense of community there. I started going just for sling, but tried some of the other classes and found that I really like chair dance, sling yoga and Barre as well. I went from being nervous about taking one class to taking multiple classes a day - So if you're on the fence, I definitely recommend you try it. I highly doubt you'll regret it! Hope to see you there!"
"I cannot say enough positive things about Fly Freak! I found this studio pretty early on in my aerial journey as a way to reclaim movement in my recovery from an eating disorder, and I have come so far since then in terms of my skill level and artistry. ALL of the instructors are absolutely top-notch and will work hard to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be, while also encouraging you to listen to your body and modify things according to your needs. That being said, Fly Freak offers both aerial classes (sling, silks, lyra) as well as land-based classes (yoga, barre, chair dance, pilates, flexibility, etc.) so there are many opportunities to try different forms of movement to suit your needs and interests. The community as a whole is incredibly welcoming and encouraging. I have met absolutely incredible people, both instructors and other students, who will always be your biggest cheerleaders. This wonderful studio truly has something for everyone, and will welcome you with open arms, unconditionally and without judgement, always."
"Absolutely love this studio!!! It is a fun, inspiring and motivating way to move your body in unique ways. Whether in land conditioning classes or on silks, sling or Lyra, there is always something new to learn. The teachers are the best in the business - so knowledgeable, patient and really take the time to get to know their students. And the community is the most supportive hype squad you have ever met. Strongly recommend you try out this studio!"
"We had the BEST time here! We booked two private sessions (one aerial yoga and one chair dancing lesson) for a friend's birthday. Loved every minute of it. Hayley, our instructor was super knowledgeable, was great at explaining and demonstrating what to do, and adapted everything to our personalities. She made the experience so tailored to us. By the end, it definitely felt like she was more of a friend/member of the group than an instructor. I also loved how many cool aerial yoga moves we were able to learn in a short period of time. It was easier than I thought! Great location, too. Afterwards, we headed over to Blackstack to hang out and have drinks. Fly Freak has reserved parking spots in the dirt lot across the street, which was super convenient for parking."
"The environment is so welcoming! I found Fly Freak Studio for a last minute Lyra class while in Minneapolis for work. Cade is a great instructor who made things fun and educational. All of the classmates were friendly and supportive. I had a great time and will be back if in the area!"
