"I contemplated leaving this review, but after 3 days my experience still annoyed me enough to write this. I was initially very excited about my consultation with HTS, as I had a previous FUT hair transplant from another provider 3.5 years ago, and now wanted to thicken-up the thin areas where zero hair existed with FUE. I met with Wally and after a quick introduction and discussion of finasteride, he proceeded to down-talk the surgeon who did my first procedure despite me having said I was satisfied with my first transplant. After that he went through some old slides. He knew I had already had a procedure but was talking about each slide as if he was talking to someone who had absolutely no clue. Five minutes in with him rambling I interrupted and said, I'm sorry but I'm here for an FUE consult, not an FUT (strip method) transplant. He seemed shocked, although their website clearly states they do FUE. Then he told a flat out lie about FUE being not a good option and stated that follicle transection rates were on average 30%! Truth is, a good FUE surgeon has less than a 5% transection rate. Clearly a scare tactic or him just using very outdated information. Before you go just know this is an FUT clinic. Continuing with the slides I noticed some were REALLY old. This clinic seems to tout a handful of local MN sports/news "celebs" but oddly doesn't really have a stream of current real-Joe patients with solid testimony. The oddity continued after Wally took a few photos of my hair (standard practice) then showed me again just how thin it was and said that he wouldn't have been happy with my procedure (when he had no idea just how much hair they moved to cover my complete baldness). Rude. I explained to them that they were good surgeons, not magicians, and that I fully understand the limitations of a single procedure. I was really surprised during no part in our conversation did he ever ask me what areas I wanted focused-on or were concerns of mine, which explains why he completely missed adding the temples or touching-up the scar from the previous procedure to the highlighted areas on the graft-quote diagram. Clearly I was just another customer to him. Perhaps the strangest part of the entire experience was his persistent referencing of Dr. Champagne over the other two surgeons. All of the slides featured only his patients. Wally kept saying Dr. C would be perfect for my transplant as he's a perfectionist, the most-experienced, and at one point he said the most professional! Okay so who are these other two surgeons, and why are they practicing at your location and on your website? As if I wasn't weirded-out enough, Wally began playing a video of Dr. Champagne on a talk show about his "cutting-edge" eyebrow transplants with celebrity Meagan Good. Seriously why are you showing me that? This consult was so far off-base I was laughing when I left the office. This is not how a hair transplant consult should be. I strongly urge any of you considering this clinic to ask yourself, does this feel right? Because if you're like me, the answer was a clear no."
