"For 36 years I've had my mamogram at this clinic. No where else. Always a great experience until recently. I couple of changes in insurance and even when asked to pass the new insurance information to Midwest Radiology, the group that actually reads the images, they don't follow through. Twice. You never have any contact with Midwest. They're office is elsewhere. The must have, or should have some system to take care of this. 3 months after the fact, a bill comes. Pay in full. Immediately. This is my only complaint. But it has happened twice now. Too much."
"Two stars instead of one because of the ease of scheduling online through MyChart, and how quickly I was seen once I arrived. That's it. M Health Fairview implemented a new cancer screening questionnaire in July 2021, and the radiology tech who performed my exam was irate with me because I hadn't completed it, telling her everything in my medical history in MyChart was up-to-date. ("Do you know how long it's going to take me to find that?" she replied.) It's an in-depth screener about numerous cancers that affect women, and both women in your immediate *and* extended family. It's not something that you can do, on-the-fly, topless in a room the day of. How I was roomed without receiving it by mail, in MyChart, or even at appt check-in, I still don't understand. I spoke with her supervisor about it later, and the she did agree that she should have been clear that a new screener was in place. So make sure that you received it via MyChart, or call and ask for it to be sent to you by paper or electronically, if you haven't had a mammogram since July of 2021 with M Health Fairview. Worse than that negative experience during the mammogram was that if I didn't have my results released automatically through MyChart, I wouldn't have known that I had an irregular result for almost 2 weeks. My exam was on June 13, 2022. The physical letter was postmarked June 28. The initial radiologist didn't even bother to review that I actually went to another M Health Fairview facility (with a radiologist I'd had a wonderful experience with a few years ago, but who's further from home) for a follow-up on June 16. The radiologist I saw for the diagnostic appt was kind enough to skip the COSTLY additional imaging the screening radiologist recommended (it was a 3D mammo to begin with), and have me sent straight to the ultrasound room when I arrived. Terrified for two days I might have cancer, I quickly learned even the ultrasound tech suspected it was nothing when I walked in the room. I was fortunate, I don't have any signs of cancer currently. But though this facility is walking distance from home, I won't go back. And while the facilities that were formerly M Health in the Fairview M Health merger always send patient experience surveys, this facility did not. To the leadership at this facility: companies rarely improve what they don't bother to measure. It simply wasn't an acceptable patient experience for me."
"I just came back from a mammogram and bone density scan from the MHFV Breast Center. I was in and out, including my wait time in the lobby, in under 40 minutes. Receptionist was friendly and efficient, my tech, once I was roomed, was thorough and kind. We knocked out the questions for my mammo while I was doing my bone density scan. Did I mention they are efficient? Super impressed, highly recommend!"
"Teresa (a nurse? receptionist?) was extremely rude to me on the phone. I've recently had changes to my insurance and am simply looking for somewhere to restart care that is in my network. She was not friendly, not helpful and actually gave me a lot of attitude when I was simply trying to schedule an appointment. It's not like scheduling a high risk mammogram screening is on the top of my fun to do list. At the very least you can show some compassion- you ARE in healthcare. I've now been on hold for ten minutes waiting for a manager so decided to leave my feedback this way instead. I know where I will NOT be going!"
"I've visited this location twice and both times I was impressed with the skill and compassion of their staff. The second time I visited, I was coming in during pregnancy to have a breast lump checked. I made a mistake when scheduling my appointment (completely my own fault, not in any way the Breast Center staff's) and they went above and beyond to get me an appointment so I could be seen that day so that I didn't have to wait to have imaging done. The sonographer who did my scan was amazing and I left feeling like I knew what was going on and what I needed to do next thanks to her detailed explanation and instructions."
