"I have been trying to get a refill for three straight days(the med they're ignoring is one not safe to stop taking abruptly)I have a history of withdrawal seizures. They don't care here. This is also against the law."
"A close family member was admitted to this unit for a week after a frightening episode of psychosis. There were a few rough spots, but overall I think they gave her good care. The nurses were especially helpful. All were sympathetic and supportive but two that are especially remembered fondly are Janelle and Ginger. Communications with family were a bit spotty during the first few days, but improved during her stay. One of the main psychiatrists was a bit robotic and didn’t exude much compassion, but I think he meant well and had the patients’ best interests at heart. Others came across as being more sympathetic. We understand that an inpatient mental health ward by nature must be somewhat Spartan with few comforts. Perhaps you can say that they have a “one size fits all” setup with some of the restrictions being needed for a few, but not all patients. I would recommend inpatient facilities such as this only as a last resort, because upon admission, the patients and their families must give up much control. Doctors have the legal authority to confine the patients for at least 48 hours and even more if they feel it necessary. In our case, this hospital was a last resort and I think we did right by not fighting their program, though we were tempted, especially at first when there wasn’t much communication."
"Family member saw Dr. Saran. We mentioned when we made appointment it was for ADHD and that they had a DA with ADHD diagnosis from their therapist. She told them that Allina doesn't prescribe stimulants for ADHD. Which is not true. Guessing she thought they were drug seeking, which they weren't and even if they were at least have the respect for your patients to say to their face why you won't prescribe the medication they need and have been on in the past instead of making up fake polices. We tried to connect with Allina compliant line and clinic manager but no one returned calls. Most defeating experience we've have with a psychiatrist--which is saying something."
"I was seeing the same psychiatrist for years, but she decided to leave the clinic so that apparently means I get passed around more than an offering plate. And the one guy they had me see refused to listen to me at all about why I had stopped a medication and proceeded to give me not only that same medication that didn't work (so I stopped it), but a higher dose than before (because more always fixes it). He claimed he was going to send in a prescription for my Adderall that I've been on for YEARS, but he never did. And when I try to call to fix that I just end up calling some kind of call centre place that has nothing to do with anything. I'd really like my medication that I had been on for years. Moreover, I'd like to be treated like an adult, or at the very least a person."
"The pharmacy sells hypodermic syringes fpr a reasonable price $6.00, no questions asked, great place to get syringes without biased judgement and dirty looks from rude pharmacy employees we encounter at many pharmacies while trying to purchace hypodermic syringes! Great place and friendly staff, 5 stars, thank you!"
