Success On The Spectrum

"Hi, I have a very good experience with Success on the Spectrum(SOS). My son was diagnosed when he was close to 2 but due to covid19 we couldn't send him to ABA therapy for few months. He went to a different therapy center until close to 4 but we were not happy with it. We got to know about SOS and we put him in SOS when he was close to 4, we started noticing lot of changes. He started responding to his name, giving eye contact, potty training, his tantrums lowered down, his behaviors lowered down, he was able to follow 1-2 statement instructions. Everyday the therapist used to greet him with love and they asked if he slept well through out night so as to accommodate to his mood. They have a portal where they mention all the goals with parents and write a program for our child, every therapist who works on my child has access to the goals and they work on our child until the child masters the goals. And as parents we will have access to the portal and we can see which therapist is working on our child on what days and what goals has our child mastered etc. Every therapist is given an iPad and they log every minute in the portal, there is no way they waste our child's time at SOS as every minute have to be logged. Potty training, brushing and going into crowdy places were our biggest challenges before joining SOS but they made it easy for us with their dedication and genuine service and we were able to travel and go places by their assistance and guidance. In some instances the BCBA would even accompany us to grocery stores and help us train how to handle the situations and behaviors. They conduct parent training for the parents- once every week where we used to discuss about our challenges at home for that week and they used to give us solutions for those challenges and also discuss the goals he mastered and write the new high priority goals for that week depending upon our inputs and challenges. They have once in while field trips to parks, fire station, etc. which helped my child have exposure to the outside world. They often conduct movie night for kids after 4pm so as to give parents a date night. Apart from all of these, they have tv's in the lobby where we can walk-in anytime of the day and hour and watch what our kiddo is doing and learn how the therapists are working on my child. we learnt a lot by just sitting in the lobby and watching how the therapist is doing, learn from it and as we did the same at home, it worked wonders when we are in sync with the therapists and development used to be too fast magically. No other therapy center has this kind of facility to watch our kids in the lobby or parent training every week to discuss about the challenges and get the solutions. All in all "SOS" is the place I would recommend to any parent who needs genuine services and care for our child. The best part is they made my child school ready in about 2 years and my child started to go to public school which I did not imagine in such a short time, their dedication and efforts helped my child tremendously and I will be ever grateful to them. And just to add to it most of the SOS's owners have a special child in their families so they really know what they are doing and that's how they provide their sincere and genuine services."
