River Valley Behavioral Health & Wellness Center - Savage

"Our family has used River Valley Behavioral Health and Wellness for several years for two of our kids. One of our kids has had a generally solid experience with their therapist, while the other has had a more difficult experience. The original therapist and medication management provider for the second child left the practice. In my estimation, much of that was becuase of the culture in the enviornment. The current therapist became less helpful and effective over time. I believe as a result...they disengaged when things became difficult and didn't really do their job effectively. This therapist was overwhelmed by too many clients and did not have the skills to address the different layers of complexity my child was dealing with. They had not been very communicative about that until recently when their crisis escalated. It felt like they bailed out when things got difficult...likely when a patient needs attention the most. If you have children with more complex issues, I would avoid this practice because they generally lack the professionalism and empathy required to address kids with highly complex issues or issues with multiple layers and dimensions."

"Very Nice Staff and the whole process went very smoothly. We haven't had our 1st Appt. Yet, but so far we are very happy w/ the whole process. Look forward to Meeting Lauren Dolum we have heard nothing but great things about her ."

"Front desk is very helpful the “doctor” if that’s what you want to call him we seen Michael omono is horrible! He only wants to push antidepressants with out actually getting to the root of the problem and then says if you’re not willing to follow what I want for your child you will need to see another provider! I wouldn’t bring my dog here to be seen! Don’t listen to your concerns and talks over you. Do NOT bring your child here!"

"BEWARE!! I have been going to this clinic for over a year and like my provider. My Insurance changed this year and I called the front desk, administration to ask if I was still covered. They had my insurance information and told me yes they took my insurance. However they did not tell me that it is now out of network and an appointment that I thought would be $10 was now a $144. My credit card was then charged without receiving a bill. This was deceptive and feels like a money grab because they knew I would not be able to afford or make an out of network visit. Unethical."

"Absolutely love this place. Have been coming here for a year and a half and could not ask for a better place. The staff is always polite and friendly, the setting in the lobby is cozy and the rooms are very comfortable as well. My therapist is absolutely wonderful! She has allowed me the room to set my own pace, allowed me to decide "where" we go in regards to healing, she is so supportive, and I am so grateful to have come across her. Thanks guys for all that you do and offering such a great place to share with the public to begin their healing journey!"
