"I chose Ridgeview labor and delivery for the birth of my 3rd child. It was not as good of an experience as it was when I gave birth pre-covid. My stay was well after the pandemic had ended though. Here's why: the nursery is closed, so baby's vitals had to be checked every couple hours in your room. Basically about the time I finally fell asleep each check. There is much more hustle and bustle in your room after delivery because the bath and hearing test is now completed in your room instead of outside of it. I was not prepared to become the assistant during the screening, which took a little over an hour of me standing to hold a nuk in my baby's mouth to make sure she didn't move at all for the testing. Any movement can mess it up and they start over.. I was in so much pain standing there for that long with contractions and pain from tearing and I had been waiting already for tylenol I asked for before the screening. Although it was my third, it was the most painful recovery and I was unable to get the relief I needed. I didn't feel validated when I explained that, and it seemed like taboo to ask if I could have something more than tylenol...My doctor even stated, "You're a pro now, you didn't tear that bad so you shouldn't need much for pain." But I did! So I stopped asking. There was a Nurse that was there the night I left, and she was amazing. She listened to me and validated my feelings of having more pain this delivery, and explained why that is. She offered pain relief, and told me to go get a snack and take a break while she did what she needed to do with baby.. I'll never forget her kindness. Overall, It was a hard place to heal. I dont write this review to bash in anyway, but it is my only option to provide feedback to maybe improve the experience for mothers."
"Everyone here was wonderful, I can't say enough good things about this place."
"Worst experience ever I'm hungry for lunch can't have any lunch"
