Lake Fort Smith Frontier Lodge

"We had an awesome stay at the lodge! There was so much to see and do the kids kept themselves occupied for hours! The view from the yard is amazing!!! There are 2 kitchens (facing eachother but separated by a low wall) with 2 of all major appliances and one of each smaller ones (microwave, toaster, ect.). 3 dinning tables and a bar, and 2 picnic tables on the porch. 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large sectional and other seating with a TV on one end of the house and a pool table and Foosball table on the other end, and a fully stocked board game area. Outside is a large fire pit with seating, several chairs on the porches, a free-standing swing and hammock. Also a charcoal grill and a gas grill. The view is amazing!!! Driving up to the lodge after you leave the main highway (make sure you enter off of Cartwright) is narrow and steep but definitely manageable. We had everything from a tiny Honda Insight to a 4 wheel drive pick-up truck and they all handled it just fine, in rainy conditions it would have been a different story though. The hosts were very nice! And left us alone during our stay unless we contacted them."

"Very peaceful with beautiful view. Big enough to accommodate a large crowd with two kitchens. Lots of fun games: ping pong, pool, foosball, volleyball, corn hole. As well as a swing to enjoy the surrounding views. There is a nice pond for fishing too. This is a simple and rustic cabin, not fancy, but very comfortable. We have spent several fall family vacations there and definitely plan on going again."

"We had the best time. The host was great he was their if I had any questions at all. The views are breathtaking. But we had so much fun with all the stuff to do here. I would definitely be bringing my family back. I definitely will be telling other people about this beautiful place. It's just sad to have our trip end but we will be back."

"Nice spot for small groups (20 or so at most). Decent amenities and supplies. Better accommodations than a tent!"
