"Called last week trying to get my prescription refilled. Still waiting for that or to hear back. I know they said I might have to be seen again before I get it refilled but would be nice if they could call me back rather than just letting my antidepressants run out. Don’t know why you ask for a call back number when you don’t call back."

"Stotz sucks. Anti-Covid or Racial Prejudice played a huge role in my treatment. Visible abdomen pains after following up from ER visit due to COVID and Rhabadomyolyis as well as bulge from the belly. This guy never touched my abdomen. Grabbed at my calves was all which was stiff and referred me to lab to follow up with blood levels. I went to work later, first day on feet. Couldn't tolerate gut pains just from walking. On-site work medical suggested hernia. I transferred care to Sanford amid I was back in the ER same week of Stotz visit. I was referred for colonoscopy which they decided just ahead of procedure to do endoscopy as well. 2 polyps, upper internal hemroids, left side colon collitis maybe. Avera response to me when I complained about treatment was well, the doctor said you werent pointing at your abdomen. He means Stotz who never put or suggested I go on exam bed and who sat opposite side of me whole time I were explaining pains on far side of abdomen. This a real one star Review. Thank you Sanford. You all have been great and I'm sure you all know it. Wow. Glad to be back and I will never enroll into Avera insurance again, employer or not."

"I was seen in Avera Dawley Farms emergency room and I had a great experience. I was admitted incredibly fast and my IV was in, labs were taken, and I saw the doctor in about 15 minutes. Took my concerns very seriously and believed me when I said I was in pain even though I was acting ok. Got a quick diagnosis of kidney stones and continued to receive pain meds until my pain was gone and they got my medications into the pharmacy and ready to pick up very quickly. Answered my questions and were very polite. Dr. Sazama and nurse Ashley were on my care team and I am grateful for that. This ER is always incredibly fast and has amazing staff starting when you first walk in to get registered. I encourage anyone living on the East side of Sioux Falls to be seen at this clinic/ER."

"Edit. I received a revised bill… Do not go here!!! Attempted to get in to other urgent cares in the area for my 9 year old who cut his finger. He needed 2 stitches (had no tests, labs, imaging, no meds… just 2 stitches. Bill came to just over 2000! dollars and I’m expected to pay 1048 AFTER insurance!! (And yes I have a good BCBS plan). This is a perfect example of the problem with healthcare in the US! Maybe that is why it was empty here and we got in right away?! Sad Avera prefers to reduce 10s of thousands to non citizens who elect to not have health insurance while making near 6 figures but will pillage everyone else. Ironic it is a Christian values healthcare system."

Susie & Erika walked me through what to expect with my procedure (after a medical Google rabbit hole I had thoroughly freaked myself out) and did so with kindness and care.
