Reviews of The Pointe Bentonville
"My experience at the Pointe Bentonville apartment complex was marred by frustrating issues with their internet service provider, AT&T. Despite cancelling my AT&T internet subscription upon moving out in September 2021, I continued to receive bills for the service for the next two months. Not only that, but AT&T also sent debt collectors after me for payment, even though I was no longer using their internet. This lack of communication and follow-through by both the apartment complex and AT&T created unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I would caution anyone considering living at the Point Bentonville to beware of their internet provider arrangements and potential billing issues."
"In a previous review, I gave The Point a 2 star review secondary to opportunities with an upstairs neighbor that I felt wasn’t handled well by management. I’ve come to find out that, at the time of my previous review and while I was having issues with this neighbor, The Point’s management team was undergoing a transition in leadership. Since then, I’ve been contacted by their current Community Director, Jodeci, who helped us transfer to a different unit. She also has called a few times to ensure we are comfortable in our new unit and if I have any concerns that she can help alleviate. She has certainly gone the extra mile to make us, residents, feel valued. Since transferring away from that neighbor, I have had absolutely zero issues with this community. The gym is more than you’d expect for an apartment gym, the pool is immaculate, and overall the people living here are mature and quiet individuals. The Point’s team puts in a lot of effort to provide things here that I haven’t seen any other apartment complex do: invite residents for get-together’s every Thursday, organize holiday events, have food trucks come sell on the property, and even some seemingly impromptu events like handing out popsicles to residents at the pool. In my opinion, The Point’s team in its current state is the best it’s been since I’ve moved in. We have renewed our lease."
"The property at a glance is aesthetically pleasing. The pool and club house is the nicest thing about the place.Cheyenne was the associate that helped me & she was super pleasant to talk to. Upon arrival & signing day I asked to see the unit & the associate seemed as if it were a bother to take me by. I like to do this so if there are concerns at least if the office staff sees it too, maybe it would expedite the pro the concetaken care of faster. Walking into the unit it was not clean. The floors had shoe prints, the paint on the wall was bubbling from obvious previous water damage, and most noticeable on stainless steel appliances was finger prints. Staff agreed it was not clean, although I was disappointed, i did not recognize this as a red flag as i should have. I also was not given an option for maintenance to come clean properly nor reimbursement of the cleaning service I decided to use. When I was given the move in checklist I went through & only found a few things that needed attention. One was the master ceiling fan light bulb was flickering, the refrigerator had some odd sticky residue from what I’m guessing the previous tenant used to hang decor or pictures or whatever, and the filter needed replacing. I turned it in the next day. One can only assume the staff doesn’t look at the checklist because after about two weeks none of my concerns were addressed. I decided to go to the office about the fridge filter because I figured that was an easy fix for maintenance & I didn’t want to use the ice or water until that had been replaced. To my surprise, the office staff informed me that the filter would be my responsibility. I was confused because I explained I had just moved in & did not understand how that was my responsibility. I’m assuming the associate was tired of speaking with me & rudely told me she would get it taken care of this time but in the future I’m required. I wasn’t happy with the treatment but ultimately it got replaced, almost two weeks later. I had also assumed the day they came to replace the filter they would also replace the light bulb, but they did not and the bulb eventually did blow. I called the office and was told to put in a work order online & maintenance would take care of it. It took 3 service requests & 3 months for them to finally come. The maintenance guy was nice & apologetic & showed me how to change it in case it did happen to the other room. The fan/ bulb is not simple to access in my opinion, but I was appreciative of him taking the time to show me. A month of course my other goes out. In fact in the 9 months I was there, I had to change every light bulb on the vanity in both bathrooms and the hanging lights over the island. This property also caters to the dog lovers. There is a nice dog park at the entrance. I find it odd there was space made for dogs but no playground for children, but I digress. The amount of animal feces around the property was unreal. I used to walk to the trail from my unit and I had to watch my feet because I was going to see at minimum 10 droppings inside the gate as well as the back side of the fence that separates the trail. I also rarely saw them leashed was surprising. I am not afraid of dogs but I don’t know them personally & was usually greeted by a few whether going to my car or the trash. Speaking of trash, it was rarely NOT disgusting.I’m surprised they don’t offer valet trash. Ultimately I decided to break my lease and move which also turned into a nightmare when Stephanie claimed one of my money orders (that’s how I paid rent) came back saying it had been cashed. To this day I don’t know what happened because they never answer the phone and when they do the manager is never there. I’d also like to add one of the office members entered my unit while I was WFH after only knocking once, the kicker… I have a ring doorbell and not once did he use it, in fact he said he didn’t know what it was!! If you like pretty this is for you. If you’re looking for attentive staff/ customer service or just help in general, you’re on your own."
"It’s all rainbows and butterflies until you move out. We moved out, and made sure to clean every single inch of that apartment before doing so - because we got an email saying it was expected to be in move in condition once we left. Was it in move in condition when we arrived? No. But regardless, we made sure that nothing had to be cleaned once we moved out. A few weeks later, SURPRISE! We were charged for cleaning that had to be done. When we reached out to see what it was for, we were told we had to provide receipts that the unit had been professionally cleaned. Was this on the rental agreement? Absolutely not. After several attempts at getting an answer from management, or anyone really, we have gotten nowhere. We keep getting promised that someone will reach out to us and nobody has. 0/5 do not recommend this place."
"The apartments may look good on the inside and the tour, but our experience so far hasn't been great. Upon our arrival, the apartment wasn't clean and they even said it wasn't to their standards. They promised to send someone before we got our moving truck and nope. We had to CALL them to send someone. Then, none of the lights worked and there was a busted door! They clearly didn't do a walk-through. I gave them a week and no one came by. I had to go to the office and ask for assistance after relaying them on day one. Then they finally came for the door after 2 weeks. Its officially been a month and the door situation hasnt been fixed. They took the door but still haven't brought the replacement for the door. Terrible customer service"
