"I was brought in to St Francis on 02/14/24 for a complaint of shortness of breath. Excellent staff, excellent diagnostics leaving no stone unturned. A special shout out for excellence of service goes to Abby, the technician who performed the Ultrasound on my legs. She was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my concerns patiently, even though she and the rest of the staff looked very busy. 5+ stars."
"Was hospitalized for hip labrum tearing, fraying and deterioration, hip flexor strain, LCL strain, meniscus tear, and fractured fibular styloid. Was in a LOT of pain, 7/10 or higher most days with pain meds on board. The Orthopedic Dr, Kim Grove, dismissed me since the first time she met me, then came back acting like she had my best interest at heart. She kept telling me it was nerve pain, which was then managed by narcotics that didn’t work. She came in assuming I wanted more pain meds, which I did not, I told her I didn’t even want the ones that weren’t working because I don’t like pumping my body with narcotics unnecessarily. 5 days I spent in pain before I’ve had enough of a doctor who would not do anything to fix the issue and was asked to be discharged to go else where to get my hip labrum repaired even when she admitted the pain I was in was not normal, but still would not repair my hip. Also gave me attitude for wanting to have her off my care team. Go else where for any orthopedic needs, summit, TC ortho, TRIA with other doctors, literally anywhere else. Nurses were great, hospitalists were great otherwise Edit: she wasn’t the decision making doctor, apparently there’s another doctor, even though she told me it’s only her there."
"I was stuck in the hospital for one week and two days. I came into to emergency room with a fever from my tube removal surgery I had done at another hospital (which was botched because they couldn’t get into my skin laparoscopically which they said they would) so I ended up having a bigger more painful incision down my belly button/ abdomen. A whole week of fevers with unsuccessful antibiotics, three CT scans and still they couldn’t find the source of the infection. They had me move rooms half way through my stay. Doctors on call don’t know anything about my case. I had to ask for my blood work results cause no one tells you. The nurses were super nice but overall for a hospital to just give you no answers for over a week is so unacceptable. It was was all a waiting game."
"Went in for a possible broken wrist. While waiting for results I asked about a prescription for antibiotics that I had talked to a doctor in another state about. He looked down on me as if I were a drug seeker. Got my results, not broken, he asked if I wanted a splint for my wrist, I said yes, he said he'd be back. Then, someone came in and was like "Is everything okay in here? We need this room so we really need you to leave." never got my splint. hated this entire experience."
"I had an emergency appendectomy done here and let me tell you, as an out of state person I would reccomend this hospital to anyone in a 50 mile radius. From the moment I walked in (or hobbled, from the appendix pain) the staff was very friendly and compassionate. We didn’t wait too long to be in a room, and the process of tests and labs was smooth and efficient. Additionally, we had traveled to Minnesota from Chicago to take a flight the next day at 10am. We explained this to the Emergency room staff, and they did everything in their power to expedite the surgery and do it so I could fly the next day. I cannot thank the staff enough for their patience and help through the whole evening. the OR team was incredible and I have healed very well. The ER department staff was kind and helpful with all of our frantic questions."
