Reviews
"The shark attack one was a bit of a disappointment. No jumpscares much or movement of the platform. The "Mine" however was better than expected. I'm not much of a roller-coaster rider so this one was amazing. Good jumpscares, movements of the ride and bumps. If you love scary roller-coasters then maybe this one might be a kid - ish ride for you. Overall, I'd ride the 'Mine' again, just not the shark attack."
"Waste of time and money, but has potential. The 3D glasses were way too dark, it was hard to see the otherwise impressive visuals. There was no sense of being deep under the ocean surface. The quick ride down to the underwater station had zero suspense. The narrative made little sense and abruptly ended."
"Oof, shoulda read the reviews before forking out good money for this one! Two experiences, one in a haunted mine shaft where you sit in a ride vehicle, and another in a shark tank where you stand. I did the mine train...and was expecting a lot more out of it! The visuals are decent, if improbable, but I expected a lot more motion out of the mine train vehicle. No matter what went on the screen, you just got rattled around a bit. It can be very scary and in-your-face for young riders, but I found it a little ridiculous and wish I hadn't wasted my money."
"For $10, the shark attack was entertaining enough. The 3D won't knock your socks off, and I had hoped for more shark encounters, but it was fine. The staff was super nice, and we didn't have to wait, so it was worth it."
"If you are a person who never had a 5D experience then check it out but you'd honestly get a better experience in a 4D theater. Got a first responder discount I would say it'd definitely not worth anymore than 12 dollars for both shows. Just go ahead and add that into the rainy day jar or a savings to go to Universal Studios. The glasses definitely need to be calibrated or the screens need to be adjusted or they could just throw the whole thing away. Between taking off my glasses and the projector it wasn't too significant. I wish I read the other reviews before checking the tablet at the mall and wasting 45+ minutes between waits and the show. Don't be like me."
