"Parking is not validated. $25 a day in a neighboring ramp so hope it's not full or you will be walking to the next ramp or paying $50 a day for valet. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Nice hotel overall. Restaurant prices were cheaper than expected and the food was good. Pool is small and the room echos, sound deadening on the walls and ceiling would help. Rooms are not soundproof either as you hear the neighbors and the walking above. Nice view from the 24 floors, but the windows don't get cleaned on the outside on a regular basis."
"Never before has a hotel stay felt this insulting. Check in, I had to wait ten minutes to be helped and the staff member was unfriendly- I can look past that as clearly an event was in town. I was given a choice of high or low room, I chose high as I like the perceived privacy. For the cost and namesake I was expecting the Hyatt to be fancy, but the room I got was awful. It is a tiny room, with a couch directly facing the bed (??), all the furniture is crooked and dented/scuffed up, the carpet and walls stained. There is enough gap under the front door for me to just about stick my whole hand under it. My windows stare directly into a lit supply closet or employee lounge, so there goes a sense of privacy. The wifi was broken and wouldn't work. The room borders an elevator that I can loudly hear every time it goes up or down from the bed. No free breakfast, just their overpriced restaurant offerings. All of this, after having spent my previous night in a Holiday inn for far cheaper and an infinitely better experience, just made the contrast so much worse. If you absolutely have to stay directly in downtown Minneapolis regardless of cost or quality, sure stay at the Hyatt. But if you can afford a 10 minute drive, stay somewhere else."
"Great location, parking was easy to find and relatively cheap. We went for the tattoo convention, and the rooms that the artists were in were all huge, well lit, and easy to navigate. It was also pretty well ventilated, which is nice when you have that many folks together getting tatted!"
"We were there for a tattoo convention, obviously, as seen by the pictures. So we didn't actually stay in a room. We did eat at the restaurant however. Fish and chips was out of this world. The service was excellent, but the Cole slaw left something to be desired. Other than that it was a fabulous event."
"The pic tells you everything you need to know about this place. A money trap plain and simple. But also added another for all those fans of the view ... not terrible not great. Sound is also an issue definitely a bring earplugs place. Rooms are adequate and well equipped just don't expect a free coffee or cookie in the lobby."
