"The person who did my ultrasound was very mean and condescending. Her name was Nancy. She was constantly talking down to me. I had ONE question for her about which part she was gonna do the ultrasound on. She got extremely mad and yelled at me for asking a question about my own test. She talks to you like you are dumb for asking simple questions. She even said if I ask her about the ultrasound again, she wasn’t going to answer! She was rough with my ultrasound as well. I never asked her any questions other than that and I was never disrespectful towards her to say that to me. Moreover, it’s her job to help the patients and if they have clarifying questions, she should answer it. The weird part was she acted completely nice in public spaces and as soon as I was in the room alone with her to do ultrasound, she became suddenly switched and became very mean. I felt so comfortable and threatened. Find other imaging places if you can. Incredibly rude and racist staff! I sent an email about this to their office but I received no response."
"Our ultrasound tech was running behind. After 10 minutes into our appointment time she finally came to the lobby to get us. She immediately blurted out loud while we were walking towards her to ‘silence our phones’ (we already silenced our phones once we got to the clinic). I noticed that the other techs did not even treat their patients the same when they came to get them in the lobby. We were right in front of her she could’ve used an indoor voice. Right off the bat she gave us a negative energy. As she sat us down she sat right in front my partner, blocked his view and he was unable to see anything being done. She made it obvious that she was having a bad day with her tone and aura she was giving off, so my partner and I were practically mute the entire time. We allowed her to do her job and kept quiet just because we did not want to upset her. I waited patiently until she started scanning my baby’s head. Once she got to my baby’s head she said “I’m going to check the head”. I then proceeded to ask her “how’s the head measuring?”. She huffed and gave me an attitude. She said in a serious and firm tone to not throw her off with my question because she has a strict routine. She then scoffed after she made her remark. She started rushing towards the end trying to get pictures. She was getting impatient because she couldn’t get pictures of what she needed. So she started ramming the hand held device into my stomach. She also made a comment that it’s not her fault if she doesn’t get good images and it’s up to the baby. A week later I hear news that my 21 week old baby has been detected for a birth defect and probability is high. We were referred out to a Maternal Fetal Medicine for confirmation of the diagnosis. It was the longest 4 days wait of my entire life, I was devastated and crushed. I spent the entire weekend crying and being anxious. We went to the second ultrasound at Maternal Fetal Medicine and everything came out fine, they didn’t even hesitate and was confident that it was a misdiagnosis. After much thought about my first ultrasound and I believe that maybe if Rayus’s tech had taken her time and not rush us in and out, maybe they wouldn’t have caused my partner and I so much unnecessary emotional damage. I understand that people have their bad days, but that doesn’t mean you take it out on your patients and be rude. The anatomy scan was supposed to be a special moment for the expecting parents, but we did not experience that at rayus. Their manager Peter finally reached out to me and apologized on her behalf. He told me that this issue would be addressed and I truly hope he sees to it. I may be nice but next time you guys might not get so lucky with a different patient."
"I had a really good experience here. The technician was skilled and very considerate. I felt like a valued customer. The receptionist was kinda crabby and I know everyone can have bad days but it can be stressful for people, be nicer if you’re a receptionist in a medical setting."
"I had such a great experience here. I had to get a CT with contrast and was nervous about the IV. I believe the CT tech I had was named Mike and he was absolutely amazing. He made me feel so comfortable. The receptionists, wait time, and facility was great!"
"The tech was extremely rude. She was upset bc I ate ( and I told her no one told me not to eat just to drink ). She then preceded to ask me the same questions I just took 10 mins in the waiting room to fill out on the two forms they handed me. When I asked her why we fill out the form she became quiet- stared at me with no response. I would say get an office job where you don’t need to use people skills."
