"I booked a 6 night stay. It stated that the check in time is after 4 pm which means ANY TIME after 4 pm you can check in because motels/hotels are suppose to be 24hr staffed. I drove from Saint Paul to Edgerton for work (2-11pm). I arrived at the hotel at 11:45 pm. no one was around. I called the number listed, phone rang and no answer. I knocked on the “Private” door sign. I waved at the 5 cameras, I went looking in the kitchenette area…no one. At one point I followed the sounds of water thinking someone was there but no. Room 125 appeared to be flooding and water leaking outside. I called the headquarters and got no assistance. The unprofessionalism is truly sad. At least someone should forward the calls to their cellphone so they can be able to assist the late comers. Cheap isn’t always the best. Edit: around 1:50 am I went around again looking for someone and saw an empty room open … I laid myself down in it. Thank God I got into the habit of always traveling with my own blankets/pillows and comforter Edit: at 6 am I go out to see if I can get assistance. Call their 102 number, no response. At 6:50 am I hear someone and go out. The lady gets a staff named “Gina” to come assist. The private door leads to another private room and that’s where Gina has been … SLEEPING. sleeping on the overnight at a motel is fine but at least wake up when a customer needs you. This Gina lady learned that one of the room is flooding at 6:50 am … this place is cheap but definitely not worth it. The lobby is FREEZING and downstairs smells bad and moldy. so I got assigned a room around 7 am after they figured out about the leaking pipes. I never got an apology or even an acknowledgment. no compensation or any sort. I mean they didn’t ask for a deposit of $50 but I don’t think they normally do. I was treated as if nothing wrong was done on their part. The second floor is decent. It has wood floors and the rooms are better. It smells and feels better. It seems they might be renovating. There’s no elevator so be aware if you have heavy luggage. The room wasn’t fully stocked with towels and there is a broken dresser draw. The motel is on a busy roadway but it’s not bad for the sound. The heating system is very good. I had to turn the dial down to 55 because it would get so hot (especially when it started snowing out). The comfort of the room is pretty good. The toilet set isn’t screwed on so … yeah. And the shower knob is coming off the wall when you pull it to start the water. I’m guessing at one point during my 6 night stay, someone came in my room while I was out. I don’t mind this because they put in new lightbulbs BUT it was apparent that that person is a smoker. as soon as I opened the door, all I could smell was secondhand smoke. I wish they had sprayed down or change their clothes or something. I have PRN asthma and having my non-smoking room smell like cigarettes…not good. So difficult to breathe. Be warned that if you try to contact the front desk via the rooms phone…you wont get an answer. I used my room phone to call the front desk (dial 0 as instructed) twice during the morning at 8:30 am and 9:45 am with no answer. I had to go down and wait for someone to come assist. 2/5 or 4/10. It’s decent but not great. it’s cheap and that’s what’s worth it. You get what you pay for."
"Hotel was clean and the the price was very reasonable. The hotel staff was friendly as well. I would stay again!"
"This place is one of a kind. At the end of the stay, they should hand out pins that say you stayed at the OYO Hotel in Pipestone. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman in a mustard stained shirt. The wallpaper is randomly peeling off the walls. The floor is missing some of its trim pieces. We were told to heat our room with the A.C. unit..... just saying that out loud is great humor. We found unknown stains on the sheet and comforter, probably from the beds last victim. The room did have a state of the art feature that I've never seen anywhere before. Heated ceilings in the bathroom. That was pretty cool. The bed wasn't comfortable, but I've slept on worse. The pillows were specially designed to wreck your neck. If it doesn't say it on the tag, it should. The breakfast, let me tell you about a lack of luster experience. Stale cereal, that had been out since we checked in for sure, an old separated waffle mix that had been dated for 3 days ago, but I'm sure it was fine cause the date had been crossed out and changed for 2 days ago. OYO, invest in your building and your team, please, or treat this place like a haunted hotel experience. That's what I did, but not all people are like me, and for the love of God, get rid of the tacky red OYO throw pillows on my grandma's floral design couch. The only redeeming quality was that they allowed dogs and no sarcasm. The gentlemen who checked us in and out was very pleasant and polite."
"This hovel has no business interacting with the public. All i can say is sleep light and leave the good silverware at home. Even the roaches were upset at the level of clenleness."
"Would give it a 0 but that isn't an option. There are carpets that don't look like they have been cleaned in a long time. Very dirty in the rooms. The bathtub and sink need replaced. There is new flooring in the hallway to make it appear they updated. Wifi is supposed to be free, there isn't any wifi."
