"My SO and I loved our three day weekend in the Imperial car. The period decor, the beautiful restoration of the car, the special touches, multiple amenities, and delicious breakfast delivered to the door were all far beyond our expectations. Yes, there is a train right by the property that goes by a number of times day and night, but hey, you're on a train! My guy and I happen to enjoy the rattle and whistle of trains. I suggest that you pack some silky drawers, flowy linen shirts, bloomers, bustiers, bodices, or corsets, and lean into the setting ; ) I packed a couple meals and we didn't leave the train at all the whole weekend. And we're looking forward to our next trip to Whistle Stop!"
"Such a unique place! It's one of those that you think about not telling friends about because you don't want it to change, but it's also something you have to experience and need to visit. Plenty of heat for winter months, and everything we saw had spa-level bathrooms with jacuzzis. We were able to visit another train car and the Alaskan Cottage with friends staying there too. A secret getaway with amazing hosts and breakfast that you wouldn't ever think could be so good. We called ahead to see what to bring - "Just show up" was a very nice thing as well!"
"The Whistlestop is an experience to remember. The train cars are lovingly restored and well maintained. We stayed in the Imperial and will be back to try some of the other cars. The breakfast is so delicious and delivered to your car. There is a nearby train track that is busy during the day. About four trains at night. I'm a light sleeper so I took zquil one of the nights and I slept well."
"If you like Trains, you'll Love it. There was a lot of information on the history of these trains and where they came from. It was very interesting and it was decorated so cute as well! We absolutely loved it! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! I would recommend it to everyone! It was such a fun experience! The room was amazing! The attention to detail was impeccable. You felt like you were that era!"
