"Will NOT be returning. The water from the pool/Hottub made so many kiddos sick. The coughing was so bad… 5 kiddos from 5 different families threw up after swimming. Something is going on with the chlorine levels or ventilation system; we had only been there not even a full 24 hrs and had to leave because our kids were coughing/puking after swimming. Felt fine after getting fresh air! Sadly we had booked them last year and switched our trip last minute because people were putting on their social media chlorine burn marks from their pool… I thought the issues would be clear to return this year… I was wrong."
"Before I get into the full detailed review for full disclosure I am a travel agent and I stayed here for a mix of personal and business travel. During our stay, the wifi went out and never returned, their whole system including to make keys and order food from the attached restaurant were also down. A huge red flag for me was the small list of menu items the restaurant could make with their system down (their system must go down often). The pool area must have been over treated because you can smell the chlorine from the entry way. The biggest and most bizarre issue I have with this and I have video: while I visited a friend in their room (they had room 101 which has a doorbell because it is a suite) another one of our friends rang the doorbell to come visit and the fire alarm went off. Thinking it was a real fire alarm, we were going to evacuate the room and there were our friends standing there confused. To sum it up: the doorbell for room 101 is wired to set off the fire alarm in the room. I have never seen that in all my years of staying in hotels."
"Was here with a sizeable group eating pizzas buffet style. Unfortunately it seemed like it was really hard for them to keep up with 100 hungry folks. Drinks in the meeting hall bar were also almost double what they cost at the bar down the hall."
"This hotel is nice overall since it’s kept clean, but like others have said - it needs updating all around. The pillows are lumpy, pull out couch is basically a cot, and everything is super outdated. I think there was some work being done in the halls, as there were squares of ceiling missing with insulation hanging out, and the elevator sounds / felt suspicious at times like it needs work. It was convenient that our suite had a mini fridge, and microwave, however the coffee in the room was terrible and we only had decaf available to us in the room. The lobby has coffee that was better however, and I love that they provided water there too. The resort is placed in a quaint little town with a fun park, cute mom and pop shops/ restaurants, great homemade ice cream in the near by grocery store (all needing to drive to unless you want the work out), and a golf course right on the resort if you like that sort of thing. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and one person even gave my kiddo some tokens for the arcade- which was great because the Jurassic park game eats coins like crazy before letting you actually play, and literally everything was 4 tokens to play / use which equates to a dollar when you use your own money. We spent quite a bit of our own money in here too so they definitely know how to get people in there, lol. The arcade room was hot, which was nice after swimming - but very uncomfortable when we’d go in there other times. The pool is freezing ice cold, (even the kiddie pool), the white body slide was painful on the seams, and the hot tub was out of service for maintenance (big bummer for me) but my daughter had a great time overall- she especially loved the green tube slide. Love that they provide floatation toys, goggles, and the bathroom being near by with changing room is convenient, with showers included. There’s a cool patio outside of the pool to lounge in the sun to dry off, or just play outdoor games on which was really nice. Overall would do it again, but the place could use some work."
