"We had a great time camping here. Busy but pretty quiet. Campsites don't have much privacy. It was nice to have a dock for our boat and a great swimming beach right in front of our camp. The owner brings you a loader bucket of cut and split firewood for a small fee. There is a bath house to use with toilets and showers."
"We camped there for the week; tent pads were smooth, level and flat. Hosts were accommodating. They have a bath house, docks for your boat."
"We have a seasonal spot here and have had it for about 7 years now. We love the resort and Don and Helen. My family and friends have made some very special memories here and I hope to make more."
"The lake is beautiful and crystal clear. I live in the area and have fished it numerous times, but only in the spring or fall. There are two major drawbacks to fishing. The lake is very busy and narrow in the areas where the fishing is best so day fishing is difficult to impossible in the summer. The bugs are horrible from mid- June through mid-August, extending or contracting based on weather and wind. I am familiar with the resort and it is quirky and I would not recommend it. I have no photos because I don't stay there and there are much better options in the area."
"I made an impulse decision to stay here (from the backcountry in Itasca I already booked) after bears had been confirmed. The tent site I had was large and tucked under trees. A bucket of firewood was legit a bobcat bucket not a 5 gallon bucket. The resort is quirky, for sure, but it reminds me of the family -run campgrounds if my childhood in a friendly way. It's not a polished Hilton resort so adjust your standards accordingly. The resort is close to Itasca and neighboring parks. I found cell service to be unreliable in the area at large so bring a reliable map. Heads up, it's a cash-only establishment. There seems to be a good mix of long-term snowbirds and weekend vacationers. Bugs were not an issue. After spending time time deep in the woods, with the relentless flies, this was quite a luxury to me. I'd definitely return and recommend others to check it out."
