"I have visited the TAT Shak several times. I live local and have no need to overnight there. It is located on the TAT Route near the town of Dover, Arkansas. It's less than 30 minutes to Russellville, which is big enough for all the standard amenities. The owner is a lifelong rider who is a super nice guy and wanted to give back to the motorcycle community. It's not fancy, but it is clean and much better than sleeping on the ground. It's an old house trailer with water, A/C, heat & electricity. It has a kitchen, microwave and refrigerator. There's usually a few beers in there for you, since it's a dry county. There is a real bathroom with a shower and even a washer/dryer. There are plywood cots provided for your bed. (No bedbug worries). No cell service is available, you'll have to go to the top of the hill for that. Be sure and sign the book and leave a few bucks behind to cover costs. It's about two hours down the trail to Oark Cafe where you can find a good breakfast and a great burger. You absolutely must have pie too."
