Reviews of Furniture mission of the red river Valley
"A wonderful place filled with caring people who are offering a one of a kind service in our community! They work with more than 70 agencies who refer clients in need of home furnishings; usually because the clients have lost everything through homeless, fires or natural disasters. A truly inspiring non-profit!"
"I set a ministry up just like this at Hope Lutheran. It was a great success. There was not enough room for us to expand, I was retiring and the pastors decided to move on. I am thrilled someone else jumped in to provide this much needed service."
"Very surprised. It was way more than I expected nice things very nice things. I learned that you can only have one of anything so if you need two lamps for your living room you can only have one lamp. So the list that you give to the Salvation Army had better have everything that you need on it because that's the list that they go by. I wish I known that in advance because I hadn't moved yet and I didn't know really what I needed but it worked out okay anyway and it was great I'm so glad I went there."
"I waited 3 months for an appointment. I'm a widowed grandmother who lost everything and I'm trying to rebuild. They told me I couldn't have a couch because I'm a single person, and could only have a loveseat. They had one queen size mattress, that was filthy dirty (not gently used as they advertise). Also, if you're a single person, you can't pick out a table that has leafs with it. I couldn't believe it as I sat there looking at all the couches they had... Not a good experience. I spent $50 on a U-Haul truck for nothing, and wasted 2 people's time that took off work to help me. Terrible. Make sure you ask them about their "rules" before you go."
