"Look elsewhere. My child attended this daycare for a little over a year, it was until the current director took on the that role that everything was fine. However Angie is racist and extremely disrespectful after confiding in certain the steps that were being taken for me child outside of daycare, she took it upon herself to discriminate towards my poor child and his speech impairment on a personal level, she would constantly call me to pick my child up just because of something as simple as taking his shoes off, something he’s been watching staff do since he started attending the daycare. Not to mention if it’s even 5 minutes past breakfast please don’t expect Angie to allow your child breakfast especially if there African American, however children of her descent will not only be allowed breakfast after the timeframe but could even bring additional snacks to fulfill their children’s hunger. This daycare was amazing just a year ago when the previous director was running the show. Now even the overturn of employees have caused minimal placing. Every African American staff is no longer interested in the position or has been terminated since Angie has become the director. This review is not only to inform the parents but the public eye racism is still real and my poor child had to not only experience it so early on in life but I myself have been a living witness to the discriminatory actions people choose to make even towards children. Be cautious be aware because Black Lives Matter children with speech impairments matter and unfortunately they aren’t welcome at laurel village!"

"All three of our children have been through this New Horizon facility. While there has been some turnover, the current director and assistant director are responsive, kind and easy to work with. The facility is spacious, clean and current. There are some truly outstanding teachers in the facility as well. I've struggled with new faces at times, but this is standard for the industry and NH does a good job training folks up. I would like to see more consistency in teaching staff and more wholesome snacks/meals but overall, feel my children are well-cared for here."

"Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. After applying I went in for my tour and said they never got my application after hours of looking for it they finally found it and said my child could start the following Monday. I come in on Monday and they have no idea where I am can't find any of my paperwork and said they didn't know I was being my kid in for his first day when I had just set this up with them the week prior, they act as if me & my child are a inconvenience this place is not a place for my child and he will not be going they need to get new staff or something because it seems like these ones that work there hate their job."

"Unprofessional, and unresponsive. I went for a tour a few months ago, and they didn't even know I had a tour set up even though I called and set it up the previous day. When I arrived, the two women at the front looked at me with suspicion before they finally let me in the door. Throughout the tour, the lady told me NOTHING about the day to day activities of the center. While walking through the place, several classrooms were dark and empty. Upon entering the toddler room, they had lullaby music BLASTING while the kids were sleeping, and the room smelled like dirty mop water due to the fact that there was a mop bucket with gross water sitting right by the door. I also didn't see the teacher ANYWHERE until I took it upon myself to walk through the room. She was sitting on the floor near a bookshelf cradling one of the kids?? She just gave me a quick smile and continued to sit there on the ground. Made no attempt whatsoever to introduce herself or tell me anything about the toddler room program. I had to prompt the lady that was giving the tour to tell me anything, and even then she seemed distant and disconnected from reality. She hardly interacted with me or my child. They made me feel like an inconvenience, and I was really uncomfortable. At the conclusion of the tour, she said she'd send me an application by the next day, and I never received it. That's just fine, because I was disgusted by the place and the treatment I got and wouldn't dare send my kid there."
