"My child has attended since she was an infant and is now in the oldest room. She has made some great friends, learns a ton, and staff are good. I've worked preschool- none of them are perfect. No setting can accommodate every teaching and parenting style you do at home with a class full of kids. I'd recommend them for care."
"Daycare constantly cancels on short notice due to staff shortage and bad weather, but still charges for the days they are closed. It’s very often I find out at 8 pm the night before that they are closed the next day. My child comes home on the verge of tears saying that she is being bullied by other kids and that a teacher was mean to her."
"My son (attended) and I worked here briefly. I was shocked after being told that it would be okay that I nurse my son periodically throughout the day because he was still nursing at the time. Their nursing room even has a flyer about how they encourage nursing mothers in the facility and are there to support the mother as well. Unfortunately this wasn’t true. Within a few days I was told my son was probably having more of a difficult time because of this. They push parents out. They encourage abrupt leaving. I do not believe in this myself as a parent should be able to be there and make sure the child feels comfortable before leaving their side. As far as employment I was told multiple times in the beginning of how well I was doing with the kids. I had multiple kids enjoy being around my even during group time. I feel as though they lacked the initiative to communicate with the kiddos their wants and needs and what they’d look forward to in the classroom. The teacher that was the “lead” yelled at the kids multiple times a day and once pulled a kid who was sitting in their seat back in a quick and disturbing fashion. Throughout one month I realized if this is how the leads interact with the children here it wasn’t going to be a place I felt comfortable letting my son be so why am I here. Oh also no incident report was initially given upon my son getting bit within a couple weeks of being there. I had to ask what happened when I picked him up from his classroom."
"Great place - They even have a daily dad joke bored! Hands down, puts them above the rest"
"Active Minds decieves their employees. AMA lies to job seekers in order to trick them into taking a job. All of my coworkers said they were told these same lies years ago when they were hired as well, and never recieved what they were promised. As a recent full time employee I was lied to regarding what my schedule would be, that I would be promoted shortly and given a raise to meet the qualifications I have, and that I would be given benefits soon. All of which was purposeful deception."
